Hi

[Bairman]

Hi everybody!

(Hi Dr. Nick!)

I've been here for a month now... lurking and learning... and figured it was finally time to step forward and say hi.  I've been spending most of my time in the technical forum absorbing the secrets of quality DVD re-authoring, and to date have done six RiffTrax with pretty impressive results.

I'm pretty much a latecomer to the world of MST3K.  Although I've known of its existence all along, for whatever reasons, I just never watched it while it was running on television.  It wasn't until a few years ago that a buddy of mine played some episodes for me, and I've been a fan ever since.  And it was through MST3K fan sites that I learned of RiffTrax... and so here I am.

See y'all 'round the forum.

Welcome to the forums. Which ones have you seen so far?

[Kzinistzerg]

Welcome. I'm sure you'll have lots of insane fun here- But try to stay away from the inhabitants; they're contagious.

Welcome to the forums. Which ones have you seen so far?

I've actually bought twelve of them... the ones I already own the DVDs for... but have only re-authored and watched six so far:

The Fifth Element, Star Trek V, X-Men, The Matrix, Star Trek VI, and Willy Wonka.

I went against the general concensus and began with 5th Element.  I figured it would be better to start with one that was considered not-so-good, that way I'd have nowhere to go but up.  But I liked it... guess I'm easy to please.  I have to agree that the Trax with multiple riffers are better though.

Once I finish the twelve I've bought I plan to get Road House as my first rental.  The universal praise it receives here has me anxious to see it.  Plus, it was one of my ex's favorite movies, so I'm looking forward to hearing Mike rip the hell out of it.

Haha fair enough.

Ah, another former lurker, glad to see you've come out of the darkness.  Since you're a latecomer to MST3K, a little tip.  The next box set coming out has Starfighters and Parts: The Clonus Horror.  Buy it!

Trust me, just buy it!

[Bairman]

Since I have the other eleven, it's a pretty safe bet that I'll get the next one.   ;-)
