Yes, for apparently any change to the past will cause Dinosars to survive the metiore fallout, and then evolve to be lizardy versions of already existing animals.

Man that was a turd.

I don't even think the Mandrill from the movie (And there is such a thing as a Mandrill albeit of the primate persuasion strictly.) qualifies as a creature that could evolve from anything period. It's a mash up of a giant iguana and a Baboon. I'd buy large, mutated Platypuses more.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

Ooh! Sound of Thunder! Almost forgot about that one!

This image alone should qualify it for immediate riffing.  ;)

WTH, that's really from the movie?

Yes, that is a still from the movie itself from Rotten Tomatoes' website.

Trust me, it's much worse than you think it is. It has none of the gravitas Bradbury's Short Story had at all. It's like a combination of that atrocious, more recent, non-George Pal Time Machine Movie (Another film I heartily recommend for a Riffing.) with a heaping spoonful of Jurassic Park as well. And would you believe that the future evolution of mankind includes us transforming into creatures that sort of resemble the Zoras from Ocarina of Time? At least they did manage to include that blasted butterfly in all of it I guess. ::)

Getting "The Chin" as a guest riffer - that would be awesome!  Question is, would he do a movie he was in?  Or for that matter one that Sam Rami directed?  They're pretty tight.

Are we talking the Liam Neeson one?  Or one of the sequels?  The one with the guy who played Imhotep in The Mummy was pretty strange.

Although didn't I read on here somewhere that someone wants to do Congo?

True "The Chin" was in the first one (which I was referring to) but only for all of about 3 seconds.  Which could lead to an amusing riff line "Who's that clown?" or something to that effect only funnier (I'm drawing a blank).  And while he is tight with Raimi, I'm betting the whole Rifftrax thing would be up their alley.  After all, Rifftrax don't necessarily need to be only aimed at awful movies, just movies that have a decent amount of riffability.  And lots of Raimi's older movies have that sort of "cheesy, but well done" feel to them.

BTW, I just read a review of a Darkman DVD collection that's coming out.....and unless the reviewer got a defective copy.....first two movies are on one disc, no chapter stops (!!!!), other disc with the third movie doesn't have an on-screen menu and the film is full of scratches.  Govern yourselves accordingly.

Good picks, definitely Xanadu - lots of Mike-on-skates-photoshop opportunities.

My boyfriend and I just watched Glen or Glenda at a party recently, and it was the second time we'd seen it in two days, and believe me, without alcohol, it's a grueling movie to get through.  It's got probably a billion joke opportunities, but man - that is a loooong-ass movie with the incessant voice overs and stock footage.

I absolutely love the scene where he 'changes' in that dream sequence from man to woman - all under the watch of that bizarre devil face.

Thanx!
Yes, Glen or Glenda would probably be a bad one to riff.......but I just thought of two more....."Rhinestone" with Dolly Parton and Sylvester Stallone (I acutally enjoyed this movie) and "Urban Cowboy"
Either one of those would be HILARIOUS!!!!!

Bairman

Barbarella
Caveman
Heavy Metal
Jurassic Park
Krull
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
Outland
Smokey and the Bandit
Tron
The Villain
