As for regular commercials, I can see them being used as promo bits, especially if they're retro and/or in the public domain, which would be funny, as well.

Infomercials is an interesting idea, but I think on the whole they tend to have way too much talking in them. Showing off product and then "interviews" with "real" audience "members."

Mike would be forced to do the same jokes over and over, or create multiple jokes for the same thing.  Now that's tough.  Imagine having to write three or four entirely different riff off entries.

I'd skipped by one the other day, it was an attempt to be less shouty and scary, and more "hi, I'm your best friend, won't you buy this?" kinda tone. well, the Ronco-esque ones tend to focus mostly on demostrating the product, while breaking in with the product info oh, about, every five minutes.   I'd loooove to see a riff on the spray-on hair thing, though

My favorite commercials are the guy who used to push OXY-CLEAN by YELLING at you about WHAT IT CAN CLEAN!! and HOW MUCH IT COSTS!! Do you guys know this guy? Now he sells mops and dishrags and who knows what else. Everytime I see him on tv I make it a point to YELL RIGHT BACK AT HIM!!!
