You get to see the nicest places with the Air Force.  :D  My dad was in the Army during Vietnam. Luckily, he was stationed in the dense jungles of West Germany.  Must've been rough. ;)

My friend's dad was stationed in Germany too. The German phrase I hear him reminisce about the most? "Eins bier, bitte."

My Father-in-Law was Air Force also(My father was Royal Navy in WWII and by  the 60s in the Merchant Navy) , he was in Okinawa during Nam, he can still speak relatively accurately accented Japanese. Taking him to a Hibachi place is always fun, he has slightly less than fluent but A for effort conversations with the chef.

For a while I thought the beginning of the Stones' "Gimme Shelter" would be good,

That music actually has a stong emotional connection for me and Andy,  - and now he uses it as the ringtone on his phone for my calls :)

Maybe "Sympathy for the Devil" because it says "Let me introduce myself" haha, or "Gimme and Intro" by Ugly Duckling.

Both of these have nice walk-in music potential

Sandra Bernhard has a cover of it, as well, if you're worried about people thinking you sound like Mick Jagger.  :)

There's always the GNR version - quite possible the worst cover of a classic rock song EVER.

Well, clearly you've never heard Limp Bizkit's version of "Behind Blue Eyes." I seethe just thinking about it.

I loath the way he misses out the complex bit in the middle and just moan "eh-yay eh-yay"

He can take that cover and stick up his HEY! Stick it up his HEY!

I should point out that by "complex" I mean the tempo changes a bit  and there is a chord change.

Which for Freddie tree fingers is a bit too much.
