I watched the movie again and just couldn't believe the premise that the Enterprise B didn't have A) a tractor beam B) Medical Team C) Photon Torpedos. And that none of those things wouldn't come in until Tuesday. I know everyone knows this but I have to say it again just for discussions sake, but that is some of the weakest goddamn writing in the history of the movies and extremely disappointing considering this is supposed to be a high-brow, well-respected sci-fi series. And of course then there's the getting out of the nexus fallacy. Who is responsible? Who should be blamed again? what should be done to said person as punishment?

It needs to be said. I feel hurt and I just got to express my anger, over and over and over again until the filmmakers make a public apology including but not limited to specifying why and how they screwed it up so badly.

Only since Star Trek IV. They pushed the humor envelope in that movie, and it was successful, so they never looked back.
