A good one a friend of my brother's came up with during high school.  They were playing foosball during lunch hour and he called someone an a-wordhole.  Only he didn't actually call them an a-wordhole, he used the actual a-word and put the word "hole" after it.  But a teacher overheard, and started walking towards him to reprimand him, so to cover his tracks, he said, "Uh, yeah.  So he put the gas in the gas-hole."  Best.  Cover-up.  Ever.

I swear I once saw a movie edited for TV - I don't remember what it was or who was in it, but the foul-mouther protagonist really had it out for Vikings. "That Viking buzzard, I'm gonna tear off his Viking arms, that Viking sonuvagun...." Hilarity.

Hmm I thought they only did that in the TV version of Quick Change, where Geena Davis wants to get out of "this viking town!" And there I was thinking that it was set in New York, apparently the action takes place in Oslo

I remember seeing Major League II edited for television once, and as funny as it was before, it achieved new levels of hilarity with the overdubbing of the swearing.  They even changed some of the subtitles of the Japanese player.  Though why they considered the word "excrement" to be profanity, I have no idea.
