the agenda of liking Temple of Doom?
Yeah, it's part of that Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy to like Temple of Doom.  :)

I think it's the conspiracy of people who enjoy watching screeching harpies as lead ladies, goofy opening scenes. and ridiculous ethnic side kicks.

While I'm at it, I'd also like to add Peter Jackson's King Kong remake to that list.   Thanks for adding the three
extra hours of exploring the lost island to the movie, Mr. Jackson.  That was clearly the most interesting part of the
original King Kong, not the gigantic ape.   Splicing in scenes from the Jurassic Park trilogy probably would
have worked just as well.   What a boring, tedious movie.  Almost enough to make me hate King Kong altogether.

I don't know, it was the romance that made that movie for me.

Soft Focus Lady and the guy with the nose? Of course not. Between her and the monkey.

By the time we saw King Kong in his version, several hours had elapsed, and I barely had enough energy left over to care.

That's another thing that bothers me... look at the Tomato rating for King Kong(2005) on Rotten Tomatoes. It is 84%, certified fresh! Now if that isn't a load of cockadookie bullfuck then I don't know what is. It was a very empty and pointless movie that didn't show or tell us anything we didn't already know about the prospect of giant apes jumping around and climbing around in a big city.

"The English Patient."  Prestige pictures aren't always good pictures, but they're good if you run out of Ambien.  Elaine Benes spoke for legions.

Well, then. I guess you showed me. (???)

That wasn't my point and you know it.

I'm not sure I do; maybe we're getting our quotes crossed. If so, I apologize.

Personally I find The Goonies to be a highly overrated childrens movie.  I didn't see it until i was like 16 and I still don't see what all the hype is about.  That's my opinion.

Principal_Skin-trade

I didn't like the Goonies either. It wasn't even cheesy, it was just bad.

GregMcduck

Hey, everyone, make sure the gun cabinet is locked everytime we talk about films with Principal_Skin-trade from now on.  :P

Principal_Skin-trade

Well, if I am to die from a shotgun blast to the head(or any other part of the anatomy for that matter) then at least it was administered by fellow rifftrax members.

GregMcduck

Well, I was more worried about our saftey when we find out you don't like Breakfast at Tiffany's or something.

I, of course, kid

YoohooRiffer

I believe GregMcduck was refering to you shooting us in a fit of rage, not us shooting you.  You seem to get homicidally upset when you disagree with others.  No worries though, I get the same way when discussing the Denny's menu...
