While in Wal-Mart today I saw what I think is a new release from Legend Films, a twin-pak of Shrews and Gila Monster with both original B&W and colorized versions of both movies.  I guess I can understand why there's no commentary by Mike, since MST already covered both of them.
I was curious if anyone had picked them up and had anything to say about them.   Are they worth the less than $10?  Neither of them were exactly my favorite movies and I think I'm satisfied just to have the Msted versions but I'm curious to hear what others might have to say.

Those have always been two of my favorite films! Both of them have been included in almost every "bad movie" box set that i've purchased over the years. It will interesting to see them in color, although a nice clean B&W restoration is enough for me. I'm sure i'll picks these up tomorrow if i come across them at Best Buy during my 300 / Hot Fuzz lunchtime dash.

I wonder why Legend's products aren't prominently advertised here on Rifftrax? The cross-over audience for some of their titles would surely boost sales for those DVDs. A small ad on the front page wouldn't be any worse than the NetFlix and GreenCine ads that are already there... ya' know?

I think there is going to be a stampede at Best Buy tomorrow...... I plan on picking up the 300/Hot Fuzz combo as well.   I know a LOT of folks going to do that tomorrow too.

I can't wait for Best Buy to open.  I think I'll be at Wal-mart at about 12:01am.   Granted it's on my way home from work about that time anyway but still.  I can't remember when I've had 2 movies out the same day that I wanted to get right away.

Me neither, that is an oddity.

If it weren't for the 300 Rifftrax, i could wait... no problem. Usually i buy everything online, but every once in awhile i like to browse around if i have a little money in my pocket. Plus, it's my girlfriend's birthday the next day and there are a few things that i want to pick up for her as well.

But, yeah... i rarely do this "day of release" kinda' thing.

Excellent question.

As it is I play the Legend DVDs I have in B&W if the disc gives you a choice - and with the color turned off if it doesn't.   Colorized anything doesn't interest me.

Note to the People Who Do Colorization:  There are things in real life that are actually black or white.  Not everything has a color or tint to it - unlike the work you do on movies.

Just trying to help.
