And did someone here mention Session 9?

I sure hope not.  My brain is under strict orders to devour itself if I ever come in contact with that movie again.  That doesn't mean I thought it was bad, just that it was a mind f*ck and a half.

Yah.  Who knew a horror film set in broad daylight could incredibly creepy?

The movie with David Caruso?

I'm watching it right now.  So, this is going to go somewhere eventually?

Because this thing seems to be 99% atmosphere and no real scares yet....

Hank just showed up again....

Really? I thought it was a great little movie.  Personally, I think atmosphere is one of the hardest things to create and maintain in a horror movie.  "Jump" shocks feel really cheap to me.

I agree.  But it's been an hour and a half....

There's always a chance the movie just isn't for you, but I will suggest you watch it to the end.

Wow.   I had a feeling there was a lot more to what happened at Gordon's house....

Good movie.

8 - The Dentist, Ice Cream Man and Dr. Giggles. A triple header!

9 - Three Ninjas 1 through 3

10 - Stepfather III

The Dentist? . . . The tooth pulling tongue cutting gum ripping extravaganza?
The only movie I couldn't watch parts of. I have kind of a fear of dentistry..
yeah, that one. but its cheesy to where it desperately needs a good riffing. theres a whole slew of hilariously bad early to mid 90s horror movies that hella deserve a good riffing, one i saw recently called "schools out". badly dubbed german version of scream.

10. I'd like to see some anime, not so particular what.  Spriggan comes to mind, um, original Vampire Hunter D, oh take your pick...
How bout "The End of Evangelion"? I'd love to see what Mike and crew make out of that one. Any DBZ or Sailor Moon episode would work as well.
holy crud, i was thinking sailor moon as well. i was watching a few episodes as a sort of flashback to my childhood..man did i ever overlook the whole formulaic routine episode thing.
another good one to riff, that was mentioned on somethingawful...CASE CLOSED. oh my goodness.

10. "Pitch Black"
Ven Diesel is let loose in a studio without a lighting crew, what else did the producers expect?
9. "The Chronicles of Narnia"
If you want an easy Riff, go for a movie with child actors, it's like dynamiting fish in a pet shop.
8. "Cat in the Hat" or "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas"
If you want to take a look into the mind of Dr. Seuss you'd better have a spoon ready... to gouge your eyes out.
7. "Napolean Dynamite"
You either love it or you hate it. Either way there's no plot... perfect 8)
6. "House of Wax"
Paris Hilton, 'nuff said
5. "Lemony Snickets: A Series of Unfortunate Events"
If you can't Riff Jim Carry, who can you Riff?
4. "Kangaroo Jack"
I know this is no longer about torture, but just for old times sake.
3. "Kung-Fu Hustle"
Dancing gangsters, roaring women, deadly musicians, and all about kung-fu... Should I continue?
2. "Ong-Bak"
Elephants, restraunts, and sweat; mmmm I can smell the Riffomatic scent from here.

1. "Alien Vs. Predator"
"I know lets make a movie based off a mediocre game that's based off two okay movies! Then we'll use obscure actors, that way everyone will blame their acting, and not our writing!" Paul W.S. Anderson*

*He didn't really say that. :P

Has anyone mentioned Bucket of Blood as a candidate yet?

gbeenie

Um.... Kung Fu Hustle was a comedy (and a great one at that).
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere.
Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

- Conan O'Brien

Bob

I loved Session 9.    Although, if David Caruso ever asks me to go into his aebestos removal company business, I am saying "No sir, no sir, not at all".

I think "Phone Booth" would make a nice riff.

I agree, but the fascinating and hilarious visuals could easily and effectively be riffed... A movie doesn't necessarily have to be bad to be riffed, this isn't MST3K after all.

Ortega

i think gbeenie was saying its a comedy, becuase in interviews Mike Nelson has talked about the ideal movies for RiffTrax are the movies that take themselves too seriously.  Comedies arent always the best choice because, what are you going to make fun of, the fact that Joke A didnt work.

Plastic Self-Cleaning Duck

Anybody mention Batman Begins?  I mean it's a good movie but....

I just have to ask....if the stuff in the water works when the water is vaporized then shouldn't anyone who takes a shower or who sits in a steam bath or uses a steam iron or just boils a freaking pot of water go "bat-shit insane"?

And why can't Batman ever keep his identity secret in these movies?  He's always got to tell some woman....whether he gets her into bed or not.
