Well, Miike's stuff was pretty unknown until recently, I was just glad to watch it without any knowledge of the guy's works.  I think he's great, hit-and-miss sure, but one of the most interesting directors out there.

I thought Audition was really boring and tame...
the title of most shocking horror film ever will always be Visitor Q, not what I would call a good movie, but man does it stay with with you for a while... yikes

I'm a long-time horror movie fan (and closet Nipponphile), so I've known about Miike for a while.  I will say that his stuff is pretty spoiler-safe if only for the fact that what happens to his characters (passively) is not as shocking as what they do.  His movies don't pack the same punch in a verbal re-telling; you really have to see them, and even if you knew what was coming next, I have a feeling you'd still be appropriately horrified.

Agreed.  I love the endings to the first two Dead or Alive movies, but when I've tried to recount them to people, they give me a look as if I'm crazy and tell me that's the worst thing they've ever heard.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  Those movies are fantastic, and I know what you mean.

I have a friend who can actually eat pudding during those movies.  I swear on a stack of Christopher Moore books.

You guys are CRAZY! Krull was an awsome movie, it was a totaly origional story with good effects fro it's day. The only thing that movie needed was a few better actors. And Zoolander was absolutly wonderfull, I still laugh when I think about that movie, "DAMN THAT HANSEL, HE'S SO HOT RIGHT NOW!!!". And to the guy who said willow, come on that movie was great. What the hell movies do you watch?!! That artsy crap like Donnie Darko or the Piano? Gimmie a break. Let me guesse you think Citizen Cane was a great movie. IT"S HIS GODDAMN SLED!! WHO CARES!!! Not all movie need to be superinovative or origional, they just have to be enjoyable.

Here are some movies that need riffing

1.Independance Day
2. Rocky and Bullwinkle(DeNiro's finest)
3.Super Mario Brothers(Where are the italians?)
4.Waterworld
5.Troll 1
6.Magnolia(Booooooooring! and pretentious)
7.Captain Eo(Michael Jackson)
8.any of those pixar movies
9.Captain America
10.Adam West Batman

Perhaps, though for a minute I thought that it might be available somewhere, perhaps a German import or something.

Plastic Self-Cleaning Duck

Two questions....

I've never seen Staying Alive w/ John Travolta....think it would be worth a Rifftrax?

And did someone here mention Session 9?

I sure hope not.  My brain is under strict orders to devour itself if I ever come in contact with that movie again.  That doesn't mean I thought it was bad, just that it was a mind f*ck and a half.
