Junkyard

Just out of curiosity with new and old posters, what does your name on the boards mean?

Junkyard: I'm a packrat by nature, and I've always liked being in junkyards more than pretty much anywhere else.

RVR II: The Initials of my real name (minus my middle initial).. I am the 2nd (hence the Roman numeral 2)
I've been called by my initials for Ages!

Junkyard

That's funny, your name is what inspired me to open this thread. But what does the V stand for if you left out the middle initial?

RVR II

My last name is 2 words: Richard T. Van Remmen II to be exact.
RTVR II just never clicked.

Junkyard

Ah!

Did I just use a whole post to say "ah?"

AHH! YOU DID!!

PSLOwner = Own a PSL (personal seat liscence) for the St. Louis Rams season tickets.

Not much of an exciting story there I am afraid.

COOL!
Wish I could afford a PSL for the Carolina Panthers here (We talked about this in my early days..)!

MrTorso

I was in a band called the Human Oddities and when we put out our first 7 inch we all took stage names.

We used to watch Freaks a lot and could never remember Prince Randian's name:

We used to call him that "Torso guy" or "Mr. Torso"  Since we were the "Human Odditites" (renamed from Puta Scooter) I took the Torso moniker.

RobtheBarbarian

My barbaric title is really just a way of making my three-letter name seem more interesting. I also like to think that it gives people an idea what to expect from me. After all, is it really that much of an exaggeration?

Rude

...

Get this... at some point between middle-school and high-school i was way into ska. I got sucked into the 3rd Wave "explosion" i guess. Anyway, i was so into the scene that i posted online quite a bit in ska newsgroups and traded tapes with other online types. I might have gone as TwoTone for quite awhile, but i stopped short of calling myself a rude boy. But basically Rude is a take on rude boy, rudy, "A Message To You Rudy," "Rudie Can't Fail," etc. etc.

Of course, here i am years and years later... and the name Rude has lost all of it's original context.
Go figure~

Ska...... man, a friend of mine in college played this one Specials album over and over and over and......

J-Proof

If I were to have a hip rapper alias that walks about with a video crew and embarasses politicians (and Catholic Saints), the name would be J-Proof (a slight variation of my real nickname JP - which stands for my real name, Justin Panlasigui).
J to the Pizzo
P to the Jizzay...

mrbasehart

Easy.  I was on the Satellite News boards trying to think up a username that was tangentially linked to MST3k and came up with Richard Basehart, the love of Gypsy's life.  Not wanting to be called "Dick", I changed it to mrbasehart.   :)

Sideswipe

Sideswipe happened to be my callsign while I was in Iraq.  I drove armored Hummvees in convoy security and MSR(main supply route) patrol missions and had a reputation for side swiping Iraqi drivers who were stupid enough to try to break into our convoys.  Also is the name of a favorite Autobot from a favorite cartoon show so I encouraged the use of it.

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.
