Does the current download of Road House have an updated Readme file with Disembaudio sync lines and time codes? If it does can someone post them? I need to re-do my RH disc and that would help alot!

Thanks!

I'll bump this one up.  Anyone have the sync lines for Roadhouse?

Hey all,
Sorry to bump an ancient thread, but could someone please post the entire README file for Road House?  I promise this is the last time,  I waited to do this one for this very reason.  Any help is muchly appreciated.  :)

EDIT:  Don't worry about it folks, I got it sync'd up alright.  :D

I couldn't find the sync line times for the PAL version anywhere around here, so I looked them up myself. In case someone else is interested, here they are:

NTSC   PAL    Line

04:27  04:18  "Name's Dalton, right?"
11:17  10:51  "Carrie Ann, what are you waitin' for? Christmas?"
19:55  19:08  "Goddamn it."
23:16  22:20  "It's my way or the highway."
27:10  26:03  "Escort this gentleman to the door."
31:01  29:46  "Morning I...I brought you some breakfast."
37:01  35:31  "There's no problem. Just a little mistake is all."
42:59  41:15  "No Boss, You didn't."
46:44  44:51  "Hey Hey. How you doin' buddy?"
49:35  47:33  "Well then what are all these people doin' here?"
54:24  52:11  "Mr, Wesley wants to see you."
60:42  58:14  "Horses let me know if anybody comes around."
67:17  64:33  "Hey bro, what's goin' down?"
77:41  74:32  "It's like a morgue in here. Play something, Elvis."
84:00  80:35  "Can you prove he started the fire?"
88:16  84:41  "You don't need this."
94:26  90:35  "I'm gonna kill you the old fashioned way."
96:21  92:25  "Wade, or Elizabeth?"
101:08 97:01  "Get outta here."

As you can see, NTSC people have to endure more than four minutes more Road House per serving. Lucky us who live in PAL land.

When trying to sync the audio, I noticed another thing. The Rifftrax audio seemed to lag behind gradually. It was about 5.5 seconds behind at the last sync line.

I increased the speed of the Rifftrax by 0.093%. This did the trick.

The PAL version was behind by 5 seconds?

Yes. I noted how far behind each sync line was to see if there was some scene that was cut or something. Here are the times:

NTSC   PAL    Line

04:27  04:18  "Name's Dalton, right?" (0.3)
11:17  10:51  "Carrie Ann, what are you waitin' for? Christmas?" (0.8)
19:55  19:08  "Goddamn it." (1.2)
23:16  22:20  "It's my way or the highway." (1.5)
27:10  26:03  "Escort this gentleman to the door." (1.6)
31:01  29:46  "Morning I...I brought you some breakfast." (1.9)
37:01  35:31  "There's no problem. Just a little mistake is all." (2.2)
42:59  41:15  "No Boss, You didn't." (2.5)
46:44  44:51  "Hey Hey. How you doin' buddy?" (2.7)
49:35  47:33  "Well then what are all these people doin' here?" (2.9)
54:24  52:11  "Mr, Wesley wants to see you." (3.1)
60:42  58:14  "Horses let me know if anybody comes around." (3.3)
67:17  64:33  "Hey bro, what's goin' down?" (3.6)
77:41  74:32  "It's like a morgue in here. Play something, Elvis." (4.4)
84:00  80:35  "Can you prove he started the fire?" (4.6)
88:16  84:41  "You don't need this." (4.7)
94:26  90:35  "I'm gonna kill you the old fashioned way." (4.9)
96:21  92:25  "Wade, or Elizabeth?" (5.3)
101:08 97:01  "Get outta here." (5.4)

The last number on each row is approximately how many seconds the rifftrax audio had lagged behind. I had synced on Mike's indication of the second MGM roar in the beginning to get these times (which, again, are not exact).

If that helps... :)

Well I mean, you are using the PAL mp3 we provided? If so then that sounds like something we'll have to edit and re-release. Did any other PAL users notice an issue with their PAL mp3? (I believe it's Road_House_PAL.mp3 or something to that effect.)

Yes, I am. I bought it fairly recently. It's called Roadhouse_PAL.mp3 and was created on 2006-08-09 (ISO 8601).

d3bjorn

Oh! And yes, I have a real copy of Road House on DVD. I actually went to a store and bought it. (So now I can't go back to that part of town again... :)

torgosPizza

Weird. Well thanks for the feedback!

Can any PAL users who might read this verify that their copies fall behind as well?

I don't think we've heard of this issue before but it sounds severe enough to warrant a re-uploading of the track...
