The ICE CAPS!

All right, everybody's talking about how the ice caps might melt. Even at it's worst, it won't be like Waterworld, but it'll still be pretty bad. However, this thread isn't about the effects of global warming, or even whether it exists or not. What no one seems to be taking into account is who or what we're going to unleash if the ice caps melt!

My list so far:
The Blob
Frankenstein's Monster (Frankenstein(1994), House of Frankenstein (TV))
Megatron (Transformers, 2007)
A Pyramid full of Xenomorphs (Alien vs Predator)
Santa? (3/4 of all holiday movies)

Who/What am I missing?

GregMcduck

Well, it's not on the ice caps, but if it does get warmer, The Thing will be forced to migrate.

Junkyard

Which "The Thing?" Ben Grim?

Tyrant

Actually, since I'm a huge dork, I feel it necessary to point out that the pyramid in AvP got blown up along with all the nasties in it. It's only the Alien Queen that's there now. Still a huge threat, but...you know....*disapears into her nerd hole*

Junkyard

Okay, to clarify: I'm talking about any threats ever found/left somewhere in natural ice, which is normally near the poles.
So if you consider Captain America a threat, there you go.

Tyrant

Ah, got it. I feel much better now.

Would the black oil alien from X-Files count then? I know they found something of a particular evil nature someplace frozen once.

mrbasehart

I'm sure Lawrence Oates' body will wash up on some shore...ALIVE!

Fuzzy Necromancer

A few more Rhedosaurus specimins from "The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms"

The Deadly Mantis

Gamera's second cousin
Love doesn't hurt. It kills.

Junkyard

Good God. How did I forget Gamera? Also King Ghidora from "Giant Monsters All Out Attack."

Sharktopus

Let's not forget the frequent Bumble attacks we'll surely face.

RobtheBarbarian

Bumbles bounce, however, so we should be able to contrive a countermeasure.

If memory serves, I believe The Stuff originally came bubbling out of a hole in the floor of an ice cave.

Though that's nothing compared to the horror we're sure to suffer at the hands of Encino Man.

Also: Bjork!

I think your memory may be failing you there, grampa. I'll just have to dust off my cherished copy of The Stuff...

All right, you go ahead and do that, whipper-snapper.  Meanwhile, I'll be out drinking egg creams, jitterbugging, and tooling around town on my bicycle with the huge front wheel and tiny rear one.

Hey, yeah, imagine all the Russians that would be set loose upon the world if the ice caps melted. Northern Russians. Fucking ice Russians. Ever wonder what happened to Hitler's invasion of Russia? They made it to a certain point, but once they made it to the cold parts and entered the domain of the ice Russians.... thank God they're trapped in the tundra.
