I love that uncontainable excitement people have right after a fun movie, before the nitpicking and heywaitaminutes start.

I wish more Transfans could get Tyrant's sentiment through their thick Cybertronian skulls. Just a few years ago, a live action TF movie would be a complete joke. Stop bitching, and just be happy you get to see it. (Pretty much my attitude toward the FF movies, too.)

This is freakin awesome.  My girlfriend, who knows almost nothing about Transformers is going with me.  I warned her that I'm probably going to go insane.  God help her.  Haha.  Im going to have to educate her in the ways of Transformers.

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

That's why I always wait a week before posting any reviews. I actually had an unusually bad cas eof that with Van Helsing of all films.

Sideswipe

Pak-Man, did they use the old transformation sound in the movie?

It's probably worth mentioning that if you buy any of the Star Trek movies from Best Buy right now (Or a number of other highly riffable movies) you can get a free Transformers-Thermed $5 Gift Certificate for movie concession stands.

Dammit, I just bought Generations and could have totally used that gift card.
Anytime someone offers you 10,000 to 1 odds, you take it.
Lets just say if John Mellancamp ever wins an Oscar, I'll be a rich man.

Tyrant

Well, if you've not purchased Aeon Flux yet, it's also on the list. Along with all the other Star Trek movies.

Well, I'm not going to go see this no matter what way you want to twist and justify this abortion of a movie. I've watched enough footage to turn me off. I'm really not a fan of crude, unintelligent humor all that much that is on display in this movie. The komedy is so forced and cheesy that it makes me want to unload everything in my stomach right now. Dear god, the old 80's animated movie was funnier than this pile of slop could ever hope to be. I cannot believe human beings think this is fun for the whole family? What the hell is wrong with you people!? Why are you letting mass media turn you into mush melloned slobbering dolts who will watch anything without prejudice? I betcha I even as an amateur writer who composes stories for fun could have revised this movie to have much more intelligent, subtle humor in it using a few ideas as the outline of my revision. I suggest if you want a fully rounded Trabsformers narrative you read mine and other fanfiction writers' stories out there on the world wide web.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

Bitter much?

I'll reserve my judgment 'til after I've actually seen the film.

If you're absolutely determined to dislike this movie, there's probably not much there for you,  but I reccomend it to anyone else. :^)

Now for me, personally, it's never sad when anyone enjoys a movie. When I think a movie is stupid, but someone else thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread, I just think to myself, "Well I guess the writers must have done something right for it to have reached that person."

What's sad to me is when a movie comes out and, based on next to no information, someone eliminates, in advance, the possibility of enjoyment. Here's the closest thing to a G1 big screen live-action adaptation fans can ever hope to have, and those who claim to love the franchise the most won't even give it a chance. I can't even say "Well give it a try. You might be surprised." Because once you're in that mindset, no matter how great the movie is (And it's pretty darned great) you won't enjoy it. The heels have been dug in, and there's nothing gonna redeem this movie for you, and all you've done is watch about 5 minutes worth of footage spread out over a dozen trailers. What good did it do you? Well you've successfully managed to eliminate one more movie you could have enjoyed. (I'm not coming down on you, Lady-D. I'm coming down on the phenominon.) AND with it, there tends to come a holier-than-thou attitude toward anyone who DOES enjoy the movie. It all comes down to sour grapes.

Personally, if anything about the movie even remotely appeals to me, I do my best not to form an opinion until I've seen it. Start to finish. Can't form an opinion on a movie based on a trailer any more than you can write an essay on a novel based on cliff's notes. :^)

More like writing a book review based on the dust jacket description.

I like that even better. :^)

Not that I, like everyone else who's ever gone through college, haven't ever TRIED to write an essay based on the dust jacket... :^)
