I messaged the staff at tvshowsondvd.com and this is what I heard back:

>Joe has sent the following email:
>Me and some users on the forum at rifftrax.com are wondering what
>happened to Volumes 9&10 of Mystery Science Theater 3000. It seems
>as though they're out of print, I looked on Amazon, Barnes & Nobles
>and Overstock.com and it all looks to be the same deal. Will they
>ever be back in print, please clear this up for us.
>
>Ps. Great site.

I think there was a rights issue with volume 10 - it was pulled off
the shelves shortly after being released. I don't know what happened
with volume 9 though.

You can still get the german version that has the original english audio here:

I got this last year and it was totally worth it. Its also a lot of fun to watch this in German if you have no idea what they are saying.  Brings even more laughs when its late at night.  Good times.

I eventually got it but the annoying e-donkey pop up that can only be solved by crippling IE was tiresome since I have programs that need IE to be fully operational. I totally understand why they have to it that way since the bandwidth would be ridiculous. I have gotten most of the DAPs from downloading from usenet and trading with other people.
Sorry to say, but this is all confusing me, rifftrax is about as far as I go with this kind of thing. I would like it very much if someone could direct me to a place where I could learn all this stuff. So I'm guessing I could use a DVD burner to put this stuff on a disc, right?

Well start at the FAQ

...or you can go to myspleen.net and d/l them directly to your computer.  If you don't have a lot of room on your hard drive, you can always copy them to a CD-R to watch on your computer later.  That is to say that if you're like me (and I know I am) and your computer isn't equipped with a DVD burner...  As for the copy of the MST3K Movie, I purchased a copy from cheepnis.com for like $7-8 bucks plus S&H... Here's a link to the store, as the parent entity, mst3k.org has since moved... http://www.cupandblade.com/store/catalog/index.php

Yeah it seems Cheepnis is has decided to ignore the old rules of not selling commercially available stuff.

...or if your convenience would bother you for violating ape la... I mean copyright law, then there's always MST3KGuy's.com. He only trades/sells/produces DVD's and VHS tapes of non-Rhino episodes and other 'rarities' as well, such as a disk with the 'deleted' scenes from the movie.  Mind you the source material was obtained from a low quality camcorder that was snuck into the theater.  Then again I don't see anyone at the studio rushing out a pressing of an 'extended'  version of the movie either.......

The broadcast version of The Movie is ok, (at least as far as mst-dom is concerned).

Interesting. I wonder if they'll all dry up, or are we MSTies generous enough to share?

It's commercially available, and he was also selling shorts vol 3, also currently available.

Yeah but over on mst3k.com's tape trading they said it was ok to trade the movie if it was a broadcast version, which it has been on starz and other cable channels several times. He definitely should not be selling the shorts vol 3 as that is still available via that website.

My local Borders has Volume 1, but I think it's just been sitting on the shelf since it first came out.
