Incidentally, my e-mail announcements invariably consist of the words "Point Break", followed by a bunch of hyperlinks enclosed in parentheses.  If you're trying to announce that the FBI pays you to write syntactically incorrect LISP code, then mission accomplished.

yeah this is how mine have always looked too.

I could almost hear the gears in my head creaking as I tried to figure out that comment.

I don't think you will have to wait too long.

I tried being patient, but a week is a long time to have to wait for some sort of response from you regarding the matter of your smilie usage.  I see you caught on to the sarcasm I employed in my post.  Very clever.  I am, however, disappointed with your (willful? perhaps feigned?) ignorance of forum rules and etiquette.  While your smilies were excessive, your cited violation was insufficient in representing the egregious nature of your infraction.  The problem of excessive smilies itself falls under the "Don't present yourself as an overstimulated, unrealistically excited, attention-craving teenage girl or you'd better believe someone is going to point out how ridiculous you make yourself look" amendment to the Internet Chat and Forum Behavior rule book.  You also demonstrate severely substandard knowledge of the longstanding "This is the Internet, You Will Encounter Smartasses" law.  While there is no such agency as the smilie cops, you can rest assured the proper authorities have been alerted.

Who the hell died and willed the Internet to you? I didn't get the memo that said you were in charge of what we were allowed to do...  ???  :-   :grr:

Hey now, just cause the long undertow has a pineapple uncomfortably wedged up his ass, there's no need to gang up on the poor pineapple-assed chap.

;D ;D ;D   no u lol   ;D ;D ;D

Seriously, man.  Think about it.  You're getting worked up over somebody's usage of smilies.  I haven't seen such a trivial topic to blow up over since somebody got defensive over the Transformers movie.  Are you going to be the next Johnny_Short_Torso?

Just lighten up.  Otherwise, I have a "LOL TROLL" picture on my computer, and I am not afraid to use it.

DISCLAIMER:

While on the internet you will be subjected to many different personalities. These personalities may include, but are not limited to, those who mispell everything, those who believe that typing a word from the start to finish is a pointless endeavor, those who have varying opinions from yours, those who use numbers to represent letters that kind of look like said numbers, those who have an opinion on whether Kirk was better than Picard, those who believe Frenzy is red, and those that like to simulate their expressions with boolean characters. Unfortunately, due to the first ammendment, every one of these personality types has every right to exist, no matter how silly it makes them look. Many of these people CHOOSE to look silly because they are, in fact, silly people, who unfortunately have the right to exist as well as grouchy ones.

If you have a problem with any of these types of people, there may be hope! Just send $50,000,000 to me to fund my research for the personality dampering machine. My hope is, through this machine, everyone on the internet can have their personalities removed, removing every possible expression of individuality and turning the internet into a fine place to do nothing but talk about how much of an idiot everyone used to be. If you lack the $50,000,000, then repeat to yourself, "It's just the internet. I should really just relax. :^)"
