Question to mrbasehart:  Did that mean you had to look up yourself??

Actually, I was very lucky to be a movie actor beforehand.  Starring in some great film noirs, and the John Huston adaptation of Moby Dick.

QuoteThe beauty of Rifftrax, and MST3K before it, is that they don't worry too much about throwing out a joke that only a handful of people will get. Sure, they throw in plenty of jokes that everyone should get, but the obscure references make you feel really smart/culturally savvey/Geeky when they hit home. Even dated references are funny to anyone familiar with the date. :^)

there have been so many Ent references in mst3k i couldnt count them all, but they allways have me rolling.

When I rented Point Break this past weekend, the clerk was so excited to find someone else that liked the movie. I couldn't break it to her why I was actually renting the movie :)

Break it to her?  Sounds like a movie...

Jasimon visits his local video rental outlet, a visit that will lead him to the love of his life.  As he approaches the counter, he sees a beautiful rental clerk.  She seems uninterested in Jasimon until she sees what movie he's renting.  It's Point Break, her favorite movie.  She had never liked boys until she saw Keanu up on the big screen.  And ever since then, just mentioning Point Break makes her lust for man flesh.

The rental clerk must have Jasimon, immediately.  But little does she know that Jasimon didn't rent this movie for any ordinary reason.  Jasimon rented Point Blank so that Mike Nelson could make fun of it.  That's right, he rented it for Rifftrax!

"Oh my god!  I love Point Break!  Have you seen it yet?"  the clerk cries.  Jasimon swallows hard.  He's no fool, so he lies.  "No, but I hear it's really good..."

And a relationship is born, but it's built on deception.  How long will it last?  Will the clerk find his stash of Rifftrax?  Will Jasimon ever tell her the truth, that his parents never actually died in a car accident........ wait....

OHHHH!  That's why it sounded like a movie.

Jasimon walks her to his car, takes her to Dog and Suds, and spills a giant chilli cheese dog in her lap.  After she storms off, Jamison then spends the rest of the evening playing WoW, and checking eBay for Smurf collector glasses from Pizza Hut. ;)

Welcome to the forum Jasimon. :)

Sorry about that.  I though you were trying to combine your first name with your last name, like Jason Simon.  I'm so used to people having strange names that when a simple one comes along I twist it into something it's not. For the record, I did check your profile, but you left it blank.

We don't get many women folk round here.  Glad to have you aboard.

Actually you were heading in the right direction. It's Jennifer A. Simon. Its so close to Jasmine people usually just assume its an incarnation of that. And I changed my profile so now there won't be any confusion :)

Come on now, there are no girls on the intranets.

I heard an old bard's tale once, many a year ago, of men seeing a 'wo-man' on the internet and then she vanished... some say it's just myth, others say it twas a 44 year old man in a dress but on a some occasions, when the moon is nigh and the forums be quiet, some say you can hear the unmistakable sounds of a 'wo-man'... as she cries out for a man to help her sign into MSN
In brightest day, in darkest night
No DVD shall escape their sight
Let those who tremble in bad movies light,
Beware the power, Rifftrax's might!
