You wouldn't?

It helps to turn the volume down.  ;D

She's got a face like Sigourney Weaver and boobs slung as low as a cowboy's pistol belt. I prefer to oogle at women who aren't declared attractive by mainstream media and shoved in my face. I know someone who thinks the Asian woman in Grey's is "damn near perfect".  :gouge:

If she's not your cup of tea... then so be it... but turning her into a troll in some misguided effort to fight the Illuminati's secret media agenda... it's just tired man... I'm very happy that the mainstream media doesn't influence your decisions... seeing you automatically won't oogle anybody they present... hey wait a minute...

EDIT: Alright, Jennifer Love can be Bea Arthur with gunslinger boobs or whatever... seeing on the previous page or so I called the Grey's star a horrible zombie Ally McBeal impersonator... but I left out the part about the media controlling my mind... because that's just crazy talk.

RobtheBarbarian

Well that's a little melodramatic. "Controlling my mind"? How'd you arrive at that?

Seeing this woman presented as drop-dead gorgeous just confuses me. 80% of the pictures I saw when googling her were of her in some kind of revealing pose, so a good many people must be convinced she's a Milla Jovovich.

Come to think of it, she looks a little like the chief angel of death guy from Soul Taker. The one who stores acorns in his cheeks.

Nunyerbiz

No argument with my statements being melodramatic... I wasn't trying to be deadpan serious. It's just that when, even in a roundabout way, your jusitification for finding someone unattractive is because you prefer the media not shove things into your face... well, that's just as crazy as oogling them for the same reason.

I'm going to let the asian Grey's chick off the hook here... mainly because I'm too lazy to google her name... Either way, you can't go and seek out her pictures on google image search and then decry media for forcing things into your face when you find them.

No, they were two separate ideas. One being that I don't find her attractive due to personal disposition and the other being that I'm frustrated by the enthusiastic media admiration of women I can't understand the attraction to. They're not connected. Her fame doesn't make her less attractive to me, it just confuses me.

And of course it's my responsibility for googling her. I didn't decry her image coming up when I typed in her name... it isn't, however, my responsibility when I turn on the tv and see her or someone like her prancing around in a tiny skirt before I change the channel. Or having someone send me links to her posing while telling me how attractive said person is, or being cornered by someone and talked at about how he/she watches given show just for given person.

Nunyerbiz

Yea... I guess I see the point... altho I'm not really familiar with the oversaturation of asian Grey's chick dancing around on TV with a short skirt. (Sorry, Sandra Oh... I apologize for the disrespect and my laziness in googling your name)

I still think this "media attention" influences your opinion of attractiveness as much in the negative as it does for other people in the positive. I'll apologize for making assumptions on the power of your personal disposition... but... If Jennifer Love Hewitt was a complete non-entity, just an average Jane Doe living in your town... and she walkled up to you in a bar to strike up some small talk... If you can tell me your first impression would be "Signourny Weaver with bad tits"... I would feel safe in saying that you were being disingenuous. I'm guessing that the machine that forces things into our faces has biased your opinion to the extreme negative as much as it's bolstered others to the extreme positive. Either way, personal disposition has been marginalized... so I don't see how you are so different from your buddy with the hard on for Sandra Oh.

RobtheBarbarian

Frankly Hewitt is a little boney for my tastes. If you're going with the assumption that I arbitrarily find any famous woman unattractive, I have few names of famous women I do find attractive simply because I don't take note of it when I find one I like (that's what porn is for, isn't it?). Off the top of my head I can only think of Lucy Liu, Jessica Biel and Arly Jover. The reason that Hollywood isn't a gold mine of boners for me is because I find the generic, artificial appearance of so many actresses unattractive, and yes, I also find it unattractive in the real world.

You really should drop the patronizing "puppet of the television" tone, because I really havn't given you anything to base it on. If you hadn't assumed I was too vapid to have my own opinions we wouldn't be having this conversation in the first place.

Nunyerbiz

Sorry if my tone came across as condescending... I wasn't trying to say you had no opinion or were a slave to the boobtube... I realize that I was using broad brush strokes to make a point. I can't possibly know you well enough to use anything more specific. Either way, I think the media obviously  influences everybody to some degree or another.  You can't see the same effect that beefs up Sandra Oh for your buddy is what further buries Jennifer Love Hewitt for you?

This friend is actually a girl.  :P I really don't have any dislike of Hewitt apart from an honest preference for a different kind of physique, and I don't think I need media influence to feel that way. While certainly not ugly, she's not quite alluring to me regardless of her fame. I don't think my frustration and confusion over how someone who seems to be physically unremarkable gets so much admiration transfers to her in a way that makes me dislike her more than normal. I might resent hearing about her, but I think I'd notice if was more critical of her because of it.

To put it another way, I prefer softer, more youthful features, which is why neither Hewitt or Oh really appeal to me.

Hey... since when did the term "buddy" become gender specific?!?

Either way, fair enough my good man. It has been a pleasure to partake in this discourse with you. If by any chance you find yourself having to kick Jennifer Love Hewitt out of bed, please send her my way. :)

Also, if my wife comes by... somebody hacked my account and posted that last sentence.

I really liked the previously on riffrax section and Mike's Liver and Onions comment about Sandra Oh.  She was recently on a magazine cover in the grocery store and the pic made her mouth look bigger than her entire forehead.  She scares the crap out of me since I saw that picture.

Rufus T

"He just got back from telling everyone in the cancer ward that they would be fine." A little harsh but my friend and I laughed our asses off. This was a great rifftrax.
Aaahh! This movie just throws you violently into the next scene!

BathTub

"when kevin comes back, I'm going to slap him for that."

Pak-Man

The hospital backdrop made the riffing necessarily dark, but I liked it and it elicited much laughing. Bridget is a good co-riffer and there was noticable and understandable chemistry between her and Mike. Definitely worth the 4 bucks to rent plust the 3 bucks for the 'trax. :^)

SecretAgentSuperDragon

It was pretty good. Step Up from Predator, but not as good as Glitter. I'd probably give it a 7 or 8, on the same level as Lost.
