I tend to buy movies in collections. For example, I have a sizable Martial Arts movie collection. I have a collection of every live action Superhero film released on DVD or Blu-ray in North America. Another collection for Buster Keaton films. Another for Monty Python and most of the films made by the members as solo projects. And of course, a Laurel & Hardy movie collection. And a few other collections by various directors, comedians, action stars, and sub-sub genres. I have a lot of collections that are ongoing, where I am awaiting films to get their first disc release, or wait for expensive and hard to find OOP titles to get re-released. I was thinking of maybe starting a new collection.  So I started an informal poll. You are allowed to pick up to three categories, an I have left open the option the change your vote if you change your mind. Here are a few I was considering....

1) All The Pink Panther Films
That would be every film, including the Alan Arkin film Inspector Clouseau, the Steve Martin reboot, and the horrific Pink Panther films made after Sellers died.

2) Every Pixar Film

3) Every Steve Martin Film

4) Animated Superhero Films

5) Musicals
Not every musical. Just the ones with tunes I like.

6) 70s Disaster Movies

7) Every Stanley Kubrick movie

8 ) Star Wars Rip-off Films from the 70s-80s-90s

9) Other
Is there a genre or film maker you think I should collect? Post a reply with that suggestion.

Five people voted, but only three categories were selected. Which means that someone voted for the same category twice! So maybe 70s Disaster Movies is in the lead?

Just for the hell of it, I made a list of all the disaster movies from the 70s culled from various lists, and removing a couple of movies that I didn't think qualified as disaster movies.  I included one 60s film that got it's North American release during the 70s, and films from 1980 which were produced in the 70s. I took a quick look to see which were available on home video, an it appears that Ski Lift to Death was never released on DVD or Blu-ray. The bootleg variant, called Snowblind . Ski Lift To Death was released on VHS by Good Times Home Video in the 80s, it reemerged as a VHS bootleg release retitled Snowblind found in any Record Explosion stores. The DVD is apparently copied from one of the VHS tapes, so a double bootleg. The only reason I now this is because I had a friend who was selling his VHS collection on eBay  and they bided nearly $1000 for his VHS copy of Ski  Lift to Death, which we found out from the home video collectors community was by then a sought after collectable.  Long story short, I am not sure the T.V. Movies are all available as legitimate DVD or Blu-ray releases.  Which sucks, because who doesn't want a cheap disaster film where the disaster is the snow lift gets stuck? Anyway, if you are also thinking about collecting 70s Disaster films, here is what may be a complete list...
