What rapid things did we learn underneath the sea?

Pastor of Muppets

I learned that secret underwater bases have very spacious hallways.
I learned that if the army is looking for a dangerous terrorist cell and they know the exact location of their underwater base, they'll send one guy instead of any of their thousands of naval war ships.
I learned that the United States government can't find 50 million dollars in the budget to stop a madman from destroying civilization.
I learned that terrorists in underwater bases will hold hostages in cells attached to huge ducts, covered by fragile grates.
I learned that the writer of this movie loved the word "abyss".
I'm not particularly religious, and I don't really like Muppets, but I do love word play.

I learned the director liked 'Hunt for Red October' and tried to do stuff out of that. With $4.50. It didn't work out
I learned what the weakest heel turn in movies is. Seriously, the dude was like 'Okay, I'm in.' And the bad guy didn't have a good plan.
I learned bad guys in terrible helmets like walking up to people to get shot.
I learned underwater bases are mostly the ground floors of factories on land.
I learned Maximum Revenge was like, "We can have the dumbest terrorist plan ever.' And Rapid Fire was like, "Hold my beer'.

I learned that this movie used ST:TNG screens and keyboards. Really go look for them.
Why did we hire that actress again? Nope don't see why.
Plot? Who needs one. Maybe Die Hard in a Space Mutinty Submarine? Right from the start it really is an action movie. It is the anti Max Havoc 2.
Most of these are not professional ACT ORS.
Stock footage alert. We would like to thank the US military. Who did not know that they helped out.
This is from '96 and not 89-92? This feels like it sat in the can for a long time before release.
And then the Spaceballs arrived! Well the one Spaceball arrived and then he was gone.
So what did this sub base weigh? I mean did they just dump pumps and concrete next to it during construction? It sure as hell wasn't going to move in case of an earthquake.

Fodder's just this guy, you know.

We learned that the riffers will comment on how the Christian Bale-looking-and-sounding-like bad guy looks like everyone BUT Christian Bale.
We learned that it's ok to be within a 45-second swimming distance from an underwater nuclear explosion.
We learned that the bad guys will go to great lengths to kidnap the daughter of the scientist to get leverage over him, and then just spontaneously kill him and nobody will care, even the daughter.
We learned that sub commanders get creepily giddy over the smallest things.
We learned that submarines have virus sensors that can instantaneously detect any contaminants for miles, even immediately after a nuclear explosion.
