Not football related, but just learned that the farmer owned restaurant in downtown Green Bay that we love and were planning to go to for lunch today / now tomorrow closed. A victim of the pandemic :(

Tried to watch the Panthers @ Colts but the picture kept going on and off..
Thought it was a signal issue from my digital antenna but then at the start of the 2nd qtr the local ABC affiliate had a "We are experiencing technical difficulties" for a good 10 minutes so I switched it off and went to watching some Star Trek DS9 episodes instead :-\

I don't watch pre-season games so didn't hear about it until this morning.

No starters played, I'm sure there are plenty of people that paid good money to go to the game that were a bit upset that almost all of the players they watched will be on the bench or not on the team this season.  Hurts was supposed to play a few series but had a mystery illness and was pulled, it happened suddenly since he was dancing on the field 45 minutes before game time.

Bills backups handled the Bears rather easily 41-15 in the Windy city 8)

Mitch Trubisky's first 4 drives:
72 yards = TD
64 yards = TD
53 yards = TD
34 yards = TD
Guess the problems in Chicago weren't Trubisky's fault after all :-X

Bears QB Justin Fields last week said the game was moving slow to him..

This week:

Sources say there in an internal frustration with Cam Newton regarding his unvaccinated status and missing so much time with the team. Someone "important" inside the Patriots organization believes this is opening the door for Mac Jones.

Per Adam Schefter; Bills' WRs Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis were sent home from the team's training facility for the next five days after being a close contact of a trainer who tested positive for COVID-19. The trainer was vaccinated and both players tested negative, but have been removed from facility. Beasley & Davis must undergo 5-day reentry process.

Bills WR Isaiah McKenzie suffered a shoulder injury in practice yesterday, source said. He's having an MRI to determine the severity of the ailment. He had emerged as a key weapon last season.

The Vikings brought in a Doctor to talk about Covid in hopes it would bring up there vaccination rate, Kirk Cousins appears willing to give the information a second read but we know he's not very good at second reads already :rimshot:

First the injury and now Bills' WR Isaiah McKenzie was fined $14,650 for not wearing a mask as an unvaccinated individual, per a letter that he posted on Twitter..

Jaguars HC Urban Meyer reportedly had a "rough go" this preseason by losing, even if it is just the preseason. Some Jags players are said to be "not thrilled" with Meyer so far saying he's bringing too many college tendencies and terminology into the NFL.
Welp... :-X

The Panthers stomped the Steelers 34-9 in Charlotte last night and the Eagles @ Jets tied at 31 ???
