I hardly ever give 10 out of 10 ratings, but this is my second for this year (The other being Karate Kid 3).

Brilliant work, guys!

Wow... this was just awesome. A ridiculous script, a leading man who apparently has some form of palsy, CGI courtesy of an Amiga 2000 video toaster... How does shit like this get made? Don't answer, because then maybe people will stop doing it. Just gloriously awful in every aspect. I personally think that z-movie turds make for more enjoyable riff subjects... and the material the guys draw out of this fuckpile is consistently great. The first hour of this was some of the funniest stuff I can remember coming from Rifftrax. The gut busting moments did lessen a bit over the final half hour, but overall this is the most I've laughed out loud at a riff in a long time. I gave it a nine.

On a side note, the most suprising thing about Birdemic for me was the female lead. It was refreshing to see that the best actor in a shit z-movie was also the hot female. In the case of Birdemic, that's like having the least itchy STD at the free clinic, but still... I can see some potential for her. After some intense online stalking light googling, looks like she was a freshman in college during the filming, In a few years I could easily see her rejecting Neil Patrick Harris at that local bar during a six word guest appearance on How I Met Your Mother.

Steel Monkey

Incredibly funny riff as good as most MST3K episode, very high praise from me.

1 for the film, 9 for the riffage.

Sorry for lousing up the poll.

You understand we're ranking the riff and not the movie right?

You rank movies on IMDB. :P

No I don't.  You have to pay money to them to do that.

But yeah.  I get the idea now.  /headwhack/

It doesn't cost money to rate or review movies on imdb - you just need to register. I think you're thinking of IMDB Pro, which I think just gives you access to upcoming release info and also, for professionals, lets you access resumes and stuff.

Thanks for the info.  I have definitely tried to register in the past and been carried straight to a "pay up" page.  It might be one of those sites that makes the free version difficult to find.  Or they may have changed it. It's been years since I tried to register there.
