Staying spoiler free as best I can
That ending is um... yeah... I um.. yeah okay. I don't want to ruin it for people.
The aliens are named after our favorite "MST3k The Movie" aliens. Mu-Tants!
So the ultimate humans are not from Wall-E but are closer to either Futurama's head in a jar or Dr Who's Ultimate Plastic Surgery stretched skin person.
Join the US Army. See the world or at least one backyard.
Oh and a sandpit in a yard is for sewage as anyone who lives the rural life will tell you. So they had a really big sandpit for three people. Not sure what that says about that family.
Going further with the sandpit. That ship picked the wrong place going with the above sentence.
One small thing about a really tiny bit of the ending. Was the head in a jar looking at the kid and kind of implying that it was him in the jar? I might be overthinking it. Go back rewatch the way they look at each other.
Hey there were no robots in this movie. It needed robots. What the heck man.
So Dad took uppers before going to sleep? I mean he obviously is happy to have a son but no one wakes up in the middle of the night that happy. Well I guess there is a reason now that I think about it and no not THAT reason. It goes with the flow of the movie.
Fodder's just this guy, you know.
