And the Most Deadly Governor award goes to...

Alright, I'm going to give it a fair shake.  Predator is one of my favorite action movies...so there is some trepidation.

Just Some Guy

I think there was too much dead air in the film.  It seemed like 75% of the movie was guys moving through the rain forest without talking to each other.  The result was a weaker riff.  It might have been stronger with someone to play off of but I that much weak riffing material hurt the track.

I guess everyone just remembers the cool, crazy stuff from the movie and not the walking...

Not the best RiffTrax, but nevertheless, it was fun as usual.  I thought the beginning skit was pretty weak, and could've been much better, but who cares about that?  Some lines were pretty good.  I particularly liked, "This music would fit perfectly in a Rob Schneider film." which is exactly what I thought when I saw it before.  Some lines weren't the best, but they weren't the worst either.

But I can't expect an Aeon Flux or Matrix every time.  Not the best RiffTrax though, but it's a RiffTrax, so I can't help but like it.  ;D
By the way, I was being sarcastic.

I loved when mike was making fun of the musical cues. You know Alan Silvestri did some great musical scores for some other movies like Back to the future, but this one seems a little overdone. I'm going to the supermarket... TUN TUN TUNNA TUNTUN!

Quicksilver

I'm really upset, me and my gf had a favorite riff from the film but alas forgot it by the end of the movie. My favorite funny part of the movie has to be the unnecessarily large amount of ammo used to attempt to shoot the predator in the one famous scene. I've seen this movie many times, but this time I was laughing so hard, I was crying during that one. I love to know how many rounds they fired for that scene. I had never realized how ridiculous that was.

This movie still is pretty good rifftrax or not. It was fun to have an excuse to rent it and see it uncut instead of on tv, like the last 5 times or so I've seen it.

also loved the sequence of going up the tree to see the body, mike nailed that one.
The Ood: The Beast and his armies will rise from the pit to make war against God.
Rose: I'm sorry?
The Ood: Apologies. I said: I hope you enjoy your meal.

I think my two favorite riffs in this one were the Anaconda reference and the CSI Miami reference.  Mike's delivery of an Arnold-esque "Dere's snakes out dere dis beeeg?" cracked me up.  Also, for some reason, when the general starts walking into the shot and Mike sings "Legs," that got me too.

I enjoyed the track.  It got better as it went on, and since the movie isn't that painful, it seemed less grueling for Mike to get through it.  I could be way, way off on that though.

The thought of Mac slow dancing with Blaine's body--Hee!

RobtheBarbarian

"Several scorpions were harmed during the making of this film" as the little critter disappeared below Mac's boot had me spit a Jolly Rancher.

i loved Mike's Jesse Ventura voice lol. Loved this track. Also, the ending was great.

When I saw the anaconda, it did occur to me that it would of been nice if Mike had said "Look out for snakes."   I like an occasional callback to lines from long ago, even if relatively few people would get it.

PsypherPunk

Haven't actually watched it (have to wait 'til I see my girlfriend this weekend) but the Happy Gilmore reference already has me giggling.

Well, that jungle was such eye candy for me. I never really minded that.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

I like this better then Over The Top.

I thought it was a solid rifftrax, but it didn't ever truly have me rolling, either.  I appreciated the fact that Mike didn't rip on the movie too much, because I really like Predator, and if all he did was complain about it (a la Episode 1) I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it.

So it was probably more similar to the LOTR rifftrax for you. Not a bunch of great laughs, but complimented the movie nicely.
