I've only caught two of them so far - Even though I've watched 230 films so far this year, I've only seen 11 from this year.

[Johnny Unusual]

I've only seen one.  Also, if you like best of the year lists...

[George-2.0]

some of those came out the previous year (though everyone has their own criterion for that) some of those I hated (Her Smell) some are a shade overrated IMHO (Marriage Story) some I haven't seen.

Of what I have seen, my top 5 to date are

1. I Lost My Body
2. Parasite
3. The Irishman
4. The Last Black Man in San Francisco
5. Pain and Glory

it's been an underwhelming year for me so far - part of that is due to the fact that several critical darlings have left me cold. I'm hoping others from my watchlist (like Ad Astra and Portrait of a Lady on Fire ) live up to the hype

[goflyblind]

oof. i haven't seen any of them, but i'd like to see knives out and ad astra at some point.

I'm looking forward to Knives Out, as I liked Brick and Looper from the same director.

My personal list:

10. Happy Death day 2U
9. Booksmart
8. Godzilla: King of the monsters
7. Frozen 2
6. Spiderman Far From home
5. Captain Marvel
4. Us
3. Knives Out
2. The Rise of Skywalker
1. Avengers Endgame
