Discord?

Just been wondering if there would be any desire/call/etc for a Rifftrax Discord server? Official, unofficial, or otherwise...

Not to take away from the forums, but for more immediate and less specific chat. It's much more IRC-ish, with a bit of forum-y mixed in... and it's MOBILE.

The biggest reason I don't spend as much time as I'd actually like in the forum is due to my not being tied to or near a computer very often, and this site really just isn't mobile-friendly. In fact, it's near to impossible to use on a smartphone.... but I'm in about 7 Discord servers and moderate a few of them, and I know that I would be up for modding and maintaining a Rifftrax oriented server if anyone else in here uses Discord.

Again, I wouldn't want it to take FROM the forum, but I think the Rifftrax IRC channel is dead and I would love to just connect with many of you people in a generalized streaming-ish chat. Also there's voice (better than Skype, really) chats.

Anyways.... If anyone is interested, I'd gladly start an UNofficial Discord server, or if there was want for an official, I'd gladly help set it up and moderate.
If there's NOBODY else who would want it, then whatever.... When I'm global moderator, you will ALL be banned.

I am not familiar with this Discord server but I mostly am on a desktop when I'm here..
I use my older Samsung Galaxy S4 when I'm not and just zoom in on the screen to see what's going on or post from time to time but I do a majority of my posting on this here forum from my desktop.
I'd try to give it a shot to see what it's all aboot

I'm on the forum all the time on mobile and I guess I've just gotten used to it.  The main thing I wish was different is the NEW buttons are so small.  Wish those were bigger.

I still come on here in mobile, but with all the zooming and my fingers are gigantic as it is...

I think maybe today I'll look into starting a "Rifftrax Fans" server. I'm thinking of keeping a slight rule of "if there's a thread about something in the forum, and it's being referenced... link to it" because I really don't want to be seen as trying to pull away from here at all, only supplement with more live chat.  And stupid things that would only clutter this place, like links to YouTube, pictures of food, etc etc. Dumb shit!

I was in an MST3k server I found through Reddit, but it was kind of meh.

I think they've been working on incorporating screen sharing with the voice channels soon... Which might be fun for community movie watching/riffing nights?  Anyways, I'm keen for ideas on renaming channels to be more Rifftrax oriented. Additional stuff to add in... Etc.

Yeah.  I understand there wasn't much activity, but it would be a shame to shut it down.
