Hang on a few months, and you'll be able to sell your own riffs on this site.  Maybe get your script recorded in the meantime.  Could make for a fun project. :)

Do we have an ETA for this? I'm very excited to see this go forward.

^^ What that guy said. 8)

How would you guys be able to make sure the audio quality is up to Rifftrax standards?

That would be terrible, if true. Wouldn't that present the very real risk of dilluting the effect of the original "riffers" if anyone is allowed to add their own riffs to the site?

I've been a MST3K fan since watching my first episode, Sidehackers, and I've been a loyal Rifftrax user since discovering the site a while back. While I'm glad to see the addition of "Rifftrax Presents" as a method of delivering more riffs to the people, I worry that adding anything more will create a clutter of mostly unfunny noise with the occasional gem mixed in. Hell, the main page is cluttered enough with the addition of the aforementioned "Rifftrax Presents" banners. Anything else thrown in would make the site an absolute nightmare to navigate, which serves only to upset fans and scare away potential new customers.

Keep it simple guys.

Now I'll crawl back into my hole, since I'm sure I've offended several people here -- if not with my words, perhaps with the fact that I dare speak out of turn in only my third post on the message boards.

You make a good point as far as clutter goes. They'll have to come up with a way to keep the fan stuff seperate from the more official stuff, but there's sure nothing wrong with Rifftrax hosting the files for the fan-riffs. As long as it doesn't mean Mike and Co. will be doing less (And it doesn't) then why not? :^)

Erik has been working on a complete redesign of the site to integrate all the new sections and ideas

A server-side check once the file's been uploaded. If the quality isn't up to standard's it'll either reject it or re-encode. Of course re-encoding works great if the quality is higher than what we need; if it's lower quality it might just leave as-is, or ask you to upload a higher quality version.

Eagerly awaiting this.  I noticed cuts.com is now presenting a different screen when I punch it up and I was hoping it was something like this.

I too am definitely excited about this particular future feature. ;D  I was curious - when we submit an official amateur riff, would it be possible to have the Rifftrax graphic designer(s) put our blown-up heads on a banner for our movie of choice?

Maybe for a fee or something?  'Cuz if I ever got around to doing this, I would definitely want a feature like that, but my Photoshop skills are "rudimentary at best."

Perhaps I'm crossing the bridge before we get to it, but I was just curious about what kind of ideas you guys may have for all of this. :-\
