I learned that Hobbitses is the plural form of Hobbit, but only sometimes.  Other times it is Hobbits.  I don't exactly understand why it varies, but I intend to decipher this mystery soon.

The fact that you can hardly tell the male elves from the females has led to some interesting mornings waking up in Rivendell, let me tell you that!

Anyway, it's not a trilogy. It's one story split into three parts because it was thought too long to be publishable on its own.

Anyway, it's not a trilogy. It's one story split into three parts because it was thought too long to be publishable on its own.

Which is also why this one ended up with the title the Two Towers, even if they do in fact only figure peripherally in the story at this point.
