I'm not really getting the difference between RiffTrax and RiffTrax Presents either, but I'm no better at "branding" than I am at math. My eyes glaze over every time the bosses at the office start going on about it.
That one's easy.  Rifftrax releases have Mike.  Rifftrax Presents releases don't.  So far, anyway.

Okay, according to this, looks like you're right. I should have figured that out before. Just got distracted by a rampaging metaphor about elephants and chains. :)

The real first version had them blood splattered with the Saw guy tied up... too gruesome.  :speechless:

(jaw drops)  This looks like it should make a very interesting RiffTrax.

And I totally want a chainsaw that says "Don't Worry, Be Happy" on the chain-y-sawing bit.

They shot down my original poster concept.   :-\

LOL.  Can you please send me a bigger version of that?

Instead of holding wands, you should have them holding old fashioned, hand-held saws  ;)

BTW this is for the R (theatrical) version, NOT the uncut unrated.

Huzzah!  That's the one I bought like a month ago for absolutely no reason whatsoever for $2.99!  It must be fate. :)

2.99 - what a bargain!

It's even more than that on Amazon.

Does anybody know if the Blu Ray is the theatrical R-rated version or the Unrated version?

I like that concept... you think they would have approved it that way?   Somehow I doubt it.  hahaha...

I went to rent it a while back at Blockbuster and it was cheaper to buy than to rent there, so that's an option for some people.  Some of us, like me, might actually own two copies.  One of the regular, and one of the special edition.  Some of us might be on watch lists for this, I don't know.

So at this point, you're really just making at least one version of each poster to amuse yourself aren't you?!  ;)

I think I wound up with both versions, thinking the directors cut was somehow going to be glaringly different.  I'll try synching it up with the uncut ones to see how far off it gets.  If I remember right the added portion was very near the end of the film when

From what I can find, the Blu-Ray is the theatrical R rated cut.

The blu rays for Saw 2, 3, and 4 are all unrated, but it looks like the first one is definitely the theatrical cut.

Well the trick is to show them 2 posters that are off-the-wall, and 1 that you think is perfect.  Saves time.

What's wrong with that.  One of the really funny ones should eventually end up as an official poster sooner or later.
