WOOT! I guess I can close my thread asking for this!!!!

I've been hoping they'd do one of this ever since you opened that thread! Well done!   :)

RVR II

Now IF they could just get to "Duck and Cover", and "Stop, Drop, and Roll".. ::)

Darth Geek

I agree, RVR II. Those would be great. They are the short equivalent of Plan 9 From Space.

KingArtie, those frames horrified me, too.

That was disturbing and hilarious at the same time. It is an odd sensation watching that on an I pod with the audio coming out your car speakers.

An open letter to Torgo's Pizza

Dear Sir,

Thanks for making the Shorts DRM Free.  You're a really nice guy, but, heck, being a greedy person, I want it all!  So could I ask that you also make available as a DRM Free short the Signal 30 Demo?  Then I could say I have ALL the shorts you've made so far.  If you do I promise that I will:

1)   Always act my age
2)   Use my lunchroom manners
3)   Be back home in a timely manner when I take a helicopter ride to Santa's castle
4)   Eat breakfast every morning (with plenty of Petaluma chicken eggs)
5)   Use proper bicycle safety (wearing a monkey mask and tail, of course)
6)   Hang out with only the popular crowd (those who don't park in cars with the other boys)
7)   Always listen to the taking mirror in the school playground
8)   Never get hooked on using illegal drugs (I think that's why the mirrors talk in the school playground)
9)   Hang out at the local basement coffee house listening to folk music (no cyber cafĂ©'s for me!)
10)   Always listen to the female part time architect / crossing guard when she is dressed in cool sunglasses and a tin foil as she flashes me her three finger salute (read between the lines!)

Thanks Mr. Torgo's Pizza.  You're a swell guy

Thanks for the letter, Monsterkid. We don't have plans to re-release Signal 30 right now, as far as I know. But I'll check on that - maybe we can throw it in there.

...the audio for the riffers was too low in this one. I'll see about redoing them on Monday. (Argh.)

Any news on that Torgo?

ShadowDog

I've never been a big fan of the shorts going all the way back to the MST3K days.  I prefer riffed feature films in the same way that I prefer to read novels over short stories.  If I'm going to be entertained, I want it like I want my sex or eating ... long and drawn out.

Having said all that, my first trip into a riffed short (this one) was good enough that I'm going to get more.  Fabulous job on this one!

Glad you liked it, Dog of Shadow.

I didn't get a chance on the shorts today, thanks for reminding me, though. (And sorry for the delay).

Speaking of this, if you look at our latest Email Blast...

"We're also pleased to announce the re-release of four DRM shorts as DRM Free... Act Your Age, Lunchroom Manners, Why Doesn't Cathy Eat Breakfast, and A Visit to Santa. Now you can enjoy all the RiffTrax shorts DRM-free!!!"

That's right. The experiment was a success, and we've added all of the usual DRM-free files (MPEG-2, DivX, wmv, mp4) to those shorts mentioned above. This also means, if you haven't noticed, that all shorts from now on will be free of Digital Rights Management. Burn 'em to disc, watch 'em on an iPod, do whatever you want. Thank you for being honest - that's what has allowed us to make this move.

Enjoy!

I'm guessing you want me to pledge my undying allegiance and loyalty to everything Riff Trax because of this?  ;)
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?
