Why do I feel like it would be Jack-In-the-Box's slogan?

As I understand it, they were trying to appeal to 'a more diverse audience'. In other words, they think black people don't know or don't want capitalization.

Honestly, it's not even just folksy or slangy, it's flat out condescending and it makes me angry. Casual spelling and grammar have their place, but there's no real justification for this other than marketing assholeness. Especially because the improprieties are really the whole campaign; take them away, and they're slogan is essentially, 'This is good.'

In that case, they should call themselves McDonaldz.  Or McD'z.  Then they could try to market McD'z Nuts.

Actually, I would frequent any restaurant whose slogan was 'This is good.'

The Johnny Rocket's restaurant chain has one of my favorite things I've ever seen on a menu.  On top of the list of desserts, there's a sentence in quotes, "Our desserts are great!"  That was their catchy slogan.  I got a hearty laugh and my friends thought I was nuts.  McD'z Nuts.

Coming to McDonald's is a new chicken fajitas type wrap and are calling them Chicken Mctiillaz.

You'll laugh now, but watch for it in 2007.....

:D I would laugh so hard if that came true.

P.S. : What is with the whole "more diverse audience." I just find that offensive. Much like their commercials about rapping to Mickey Dz. I have not seen a single person, rapper or wannabe, stand in line, get their #3, then go outside and start to lay down some rhymes about the food.

Worst movie line: "i'm loving it!" ;)

Pak-Man, if you're bothered by incorrect grammar and lack of capitalization, you might want to avoid the internet.  ;)

Has any one seen the trailer for Blood Diamond yet?

Leonardo DiCaprio, with an astoundingly believable (or perhaps not) Afrikaans accent delivers this little gem.

"In America it's bling-bling, out here it's bling-bang."

The Blood Diamond trailer directly followed the trailer for Catch A Fire, featuring Tim Robbins' excellent South African accent, making it painfully apparent just how horrible DiCaprio's is by comparison. And to think I was just starting to respect his as an actor after The Departed.  ::)

I accept it on the internet and engage in it myself on occasion. :^) It's when a corporation purposefully tries to pass it off to the people of the world as an acceptable way of selling goods that it bugs me. :^) but anyways, back to quotes. :^)

I hate to bring up the title again but Troll 2 has SOOO many bad lines that almost every single one of em can be considered the worst....

It'll happen. Probably sooner than we all think.

In fact, all the other mainsteam fastfood joints will probably jump on the bandwagon when McDonald's sales go through the roof. Then, someone will figure out how to convert it to speech, and then we'll have to deal with that as the new English. We're doomed!

Worst movie line ever:

"Listen, Corina - they're trying to take my tortillas! They are trying to kill you! AH! AH! AAAAAH!!!"

Who knows what that quote is from? ;)
Isn't that from a Pablo Francisco bit?

Justin

Yep.  Back when he wasn't trying to be Dane Cook.  God, I used to think he was hilarious when I saw him on Full Frontal Comedy.

Go ahead I don't mind.

Michael: Do you see this writing...? Do you know what it means...? Hospitality. And you can't piss on hospitality! I WON'T ALLOW IT!
[reaching for his belt]
Joshua: What are you going to do to me, Daddy?
Michael: Tightening my belt one loop so that I don't feel hunger pains, and your sister and mother will have to do likewise. Okay, Joshua. You wanna get rough with me? You wanna show me that you don't like the choice of this house for our vacation by going on a hunger strike? Well, I'll accept the challenge. But just remember when I was your age, I really did suffer from hunger. We'll se who gets through this, but just remember I've got more practice than you. I'll see you tomorrow.
