I'm SJ, and I'm a riffaholic.

I'm so addicted to riffing that when we are watching boring stupid movies about design history I riff to myself and snicker the whole time, only to find my fellow classmates asking me if I am okay after class.

I'm a 26 FEMALE!!! who cut my sarcasm teeth on MST and am currently in design school.

And before I go back to my seat I just want to state for the record 2 things: 1: Mike Nelson is a saint for not letting the riffing die!! and 2: Waterworld was NOT a bad movie.  And I can only hope to grow gills as pretty as Kevin Costners.

;)
"She's turning around!"-Tom

"Did you say she's turning around??!?"-Crow (from far away)
"No, no Crow, I said she's spurning a clown!"-Tom
"Well I like that too!!"-Crow

Official BBQ Platypus "Welcome to Insert Forum Name Here" Cookie-Cutter Form Letter:

Greetings, New Poster!  As of now, my feelings toward you are completely neutral! May they remain neutral or better for many a month, before you say something that annoys me slightly until about a week later when I forget about it! Then, may they remain neutral again!
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

I'm just going to assume you're always pantsless unless noted otherwise. Is that a fair assumption?

Here's my Waterworld question. They've run out of drinkable water, but there's still a supply of cigarettes for teh bad guys to smoke?

Edit: Oh my God, I typed "teh" didn't I? I must now commit internet seppuku. ACK!

Waterworld is a guilty pleasure of mine....

I have a lot of those.

Welcome.

damn straight. some movies get bashed just because it becomes the hip thing to do. Waterworld was not bad at all, people just wanted it to fail because it cost so much
I really do like pie.

I beleive there are films that are dead at the box office before anyone has actually seen them regardless of the final 'quality' of the film. Off the top of my head that group would include Gigli, Madonna's Swept Away and Waterworld. Waterworld was so soundly beaten by the press before it was out for it's budget of  $175 million (this was before Titanic of course) that when I finally saw it I thought it was a lot better than the impression I had got from the Media beforehand.
