Absolutely nothing. Not one damn thing new that I didn't already know about... THE GRUDGE.

THE GRUDGE 2, on the other hand... veeerrrry informative.

Goshzilla

I learned one thing from the remake that I didn't get from the original.

Never go to Japan to teach English ever, your subjected to a grudge.

macleod

Well, the grudge was quite a learning experience, but not nearly so much as "the beef", "the irritation", or "the general feeling of personal dislike," which are veritable encyclopedias of information, believe me.

Oh yeah, and slow=suspense, and so do kids who make cat noises

gbeenie

I learned that whenever anyone I watched this with last night calls another of us, they're going to make That Fucking Sound into the phone for AT LEAST a month.  :)
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere.

wow....apparently you need new friends, or at least new people to watch crappy movies with

What are you talking about? I'm doing it too.  >makes "spooky" door-creaking noise<

For the life of me, I can't think about anything "spooooky" in the Grudge, well, unless I was a plumber, because those hair clogs would be a nightmare

Ranika

I learned alcohol can't make everything enjoyable on some level as my previous theory went. Alcohol + Rifftrax does seem to do the trick though.
"If two friends ask you to judge a dispute, don't accept, because you will lose one friend; on the other hand, if two strangers come with the same request, accept because you will gain one friend." - St. Augustine

macleod

I have to agree, they seem to go hand in hand....of course, then there could always be Rifftrax drinking games...like every time one of the guys mentions Kevin Federline

But will Space Chief help out as well?

A few months ago I saw on Ebay a lovely "Prince of Space" tshirt adorning the famous line...

I instead opted for the "Mitchell" "Brute Force With a Badge" tshirt...

I'm comfortable with who I am.

What I learned from The Grudge:

That zombies like croaking without telling us why...
That Japanese ghosts care more about killing US immigrants than Japanese police officers...
Japanese Grudge-Ghosts fluxuate the time they will take killing someone...

Well, of course they  care more about killing US immigrants. The may have an innate jealous hatred of all things that live, but they'll be damned if they tolerate any big-nosed gap-sneaker-wearing pork-rind-eating gajin take up residence in their country.
Love doesn't hurt. It kills.
