Why are we bitching complaining about DRM in a board about a short that doesn't have it?
Don't look at me. I'm cool with DRM.

Sheik Yerbouti

As long as they continue to supply the mp3 file separately so I can make my own version, I don't care either way.  I can certainly understand why they want to protect their content especially since the shorts are quick to download.

Does D.R.M. = Diaper Rash Mud?  Anywho, great short.  That thumb-head remark killed.

Bob

Excellant, it is now on my ipod and on my pc as a dvix file.   The best of both worlds.

OK, every time I post, it's always a non-serious, vaugely funny, spooneful of ipecac...  But this one is serious.

I love the shorts.  Please keep them up!  And it's even better to have it in a format that can be put on my iPhone as I have shown them for some of my coworkers and they love it...  Which is likely to bring new fans to Rifftrax, and these guys never even watched MST3K.  Great job!  Keep up the funny!

I really don't care one way or t'other.  I can watch em with or without the DRM and I can see them wanting to protect their stuff.

Thanks again for another DRM free Riff.  My wallet and I both showed up for this one.

Yes, I think making shorts out of Diarrhea Repellent Material is a very practical idea.  I'm firmly in favor of it.

DRM doesn't do much to protect anything. The main thing it does is cause hassles for paying end users.

How many hackers/crackers/pirates/whatever circumventing the DRM does it take for a file to leak onto file sharing networks? One. And there will almost always be one.

Ok, stupid question. I haven't bought either of the DRM free shorts yet because I don't know what DRM means. So, please, what does it mean?

Digital Rights Management

It prevents the unholy from copying files and sharing them with the world.  It makes it so you can watch/listen to a file only on your current computer/dvd player.

I do! Very good with the WMV and iPod, but does anyone actually have a Zune?

Its in my closet with the Betamax, Laserdisc, and HDDVD Player...
