The way I contrast the two is this: Priscilla is the film I'll generally choose to watch, while To Wong Foo is the one I'd show my mother.

And, although To Wong Foo has some very "Hollywood-ized" moments, it is still not a dreaded Straight Drag Comedy.

If Next of Kin hadn't been on the list then perhaps I would have gone with Keeping Mum, but it's much more Maggie Smith's movie
