Maybe Rifftrax pulled a "Rhino".....?

Looks like the film belongs to The A/V Geeks who sell this title on a collection.

They probably didn't appreciate their film being used without permission.  Or they figured that since the Rifftrax is useless without the video, why not try to make money off it, too?  Or they'd rather make sure that people come to their website?

Anyway, I sent Internet Archive an Error report to see if they can solve this.

I doubt that is it. Pretty much all of those shorts on the Educational Archives DVDs come from Prelinger himself and they are still on the archive.org site. Probably just a database error.

I was able to find it on Google Video, but the quality isn't nearly as good as the archive.org version.

That's why archive.org has them - Prelinger and A/V Geeks - listed as two different entities on their Ephemeral Films page?  Because they're the same?

Didn't notice that Cathy was a av/geeks listing, actually I never noticed the AV/Geeks had a section on archive.org.  But as the DVD that was linked to for purchase has been out for almost 7 years I still hold doubt that is why it isn't accessible on the site. There are a couple of other AV/GEEKS shorts on that same DVD that are still on the site.

Amazon has them used from $10. It also has lunchroom Manners too. I have had this disc for 6 years and completely forgot Cathy was on it. So now I have to re-do my re-author so I can rip it in the larger resolution.

Whatdya' know, i have that DVD too! Came in the lunchbox DVD boxset with a few others. But i doubt that i'll take the time to re-reauthor it using the DVD version. The archive.com files worked just fine, looked just fine... and the rest of the shorts are basically at the same resolution anyway. Doesn't seem like it's worth the effort, because i'm terribly lazy.

But i'll take a good look at my educational archive DVDs next time they release a short around here. Good to know.

I e-mailed Skip Elsheimer the head AV/Geek and he said Cathy should be up at archive.org and he was going to do some digging to see what was up.

I downloaded the google version, and the quality is decent enough compared to the other shorts I got off archive.org.  So I'll just be using that...it's only a few minutes long anyways.

I sure do hope that they come out with a DVD with at least 10 of these shorts. Seems like kind of a rip-off, since we're getting 7-10 times the content for only 3-4 times the price.

We also don't have to pay extra to buy/rent a movie we don't already own, though.
