of course that begs the question of the existance of soup.

ha get that obscure reference if you can

I find it a bit too tedious for what it's worth.  I hope that if the team riffs more of these public domain shorts they can get the video and riffing released to us in DIVX form a la The Terrible Truth.

It's a double feature, meaning 2 shorts? I guess I'd like an mp3 for each, but anyways...

Would this be the raw for the first short?

Edit: Found raw for second:

Yeah because of the way they did it, it's going to be more work to split the mp3s (since they literally riffed on it like it was all one video). Sorry about that. Good night, and good luck!

Which is why I didn't split the mp3.  I JOINED the videos.  1 second of blank between them and the whole thing syncs up nicely.

That's what I did too.  It was much easier.

I sure do hope that they come out with a DVD with at least 10 of these shorts. Seems like kind of a rip-off, since we're getting 7-10 times the content for only 3-4 times the price.

Hell, they should almost give one away for every 10 full riffs that you buy. I liked it when they did that with Nestor (not exactly, but free nonetheless).

I'm utterly confused...I thought this was two short films that included Rifftrax audio.  I bought them and downloaded something that won't play at all (Cathy Petaluma Chicken.avi, size 1k) and when I tried to download the film(s) again, I get an MP3 file.

And I don't have the films to sync it with anyway.

As I said, utterly confused.

Any help appreciated.

Do you have the Divx player installed on your machine?
You'll need that if you want to play the Divx file.

If you want to download the original shorts and play them with the .mp3 file you'll have to get them from archive.org.
There are many options on these shorts.

Yeah, mightyclaw, I was never registered for Divx, but did because of these (then watched Santa again w/o having to sync).

Just download Divx player and open it, then open the file from the Divx File/Open menu (make sure not to open them with any other player).  They'll ask you to sign up--go through the standard (like any 'register only' website) signup process, then it should load them into your account so you can watch them in the Divx player any time (as they will be registered into your online Divx account and will show in the player).

Now, in all the confusion, you might see that the files you downloaded disappeared--as soon as you click the file, it disappears from your computer (weird, huh?)

It's all simply a security measure--you are playing them through your registered account, not from an actual file on your computer

If that happens, simply download again from your Rifftrax account--they're always there in your account to download whenever needed!

Post if you have problems.  And anyone else, please correct me anywhere I'm wrong!   :speechless:

Okay let me put it this way.  I don't want to have to sync up sound myself on these shorts.

What software do you use to combine AVIs, WMVs, etc, so on, and such?

In your "My Files" area, there is a separate tab called "On Demand"  You will need to click "watch now" next to why doesn't cathy eat breakfast.
