Is it me... or is he wearing giant red mittens in that picture?

Those are actually his deflated man-bosoms leaking out from under his shirt.  Apparently Patrick hasn't been keeping up with his workout regimen.

I just heard about this the other day, then I heard the 5 weeks to live and watched a clip on the news. I don't think that the press should have jumped ahead and told the public first on something like this, I can understand wanting to be the first on the next big thing like another Paris Hilton sex tape or Britney spears "no panties with dress" shot, but this is a mans life (possibly lack there of) they made public. They should have let him be the one to announce it to his fans.

Then I read the yahoo article on the blind guitars from road house (didn't know his name before that), dieing of cancer himself.  It's like Road House is for some reason cursed all of a sudden, not often two actors from the same movie get sick from the same thing...weird but I hope he pulls through, he has to make more movies!
Like movies? Then check out my movie review blog @ The Haynes Place movie review blog

Since when has the media even cared about the human race or anyone in it?

What you really hate is the collective of people who are interested in sensationalistic news stories over important news stories.  So actually you hate dumb people.  So really you hate 3/4 of the country.  Don't hate the playa, hate the game.

I am wondering why Joel is ordering Nichol Ritchie back to rehab.   Shouldn't he be working on the next CT release?

As always betterromorrowamy you come to save the day and clear things up. So yes, I'm sick of hearing about Britney Spears and that Paris chick. I'm sick of hearing about people's "secret" affairs, "supposed" divorces, and secret "love" childs. I don't want to hear about somebody's smoking/drinking/drug habits, it is their freaking life. I want to hear the stories that will actually have an impact on my country, or me personally.

So yes, thanks for clearing that up.

Well I don't watch tv or listen to any radio but NPR, so I don't hear about this stuff except for what I read off the cover of magazines.  You can read the newspaper and get great stuff.

Killer Tribute!!

Lotta 'Road House' qualities to it. I Like That ;)

Quoteinterested in sensationalistic news stories over important news stories.
The only important news story is, "Hey, You Only Have Five Weeks To Live," or maybe, "Hey, A Plane Is About To Crash Into Your Building." Strangely, I don't remember either one of those running. Perhaps they were buried by the Things To Bitch About column in the Other People's Business section. Fucked up shit happening to a celebrity is no different than fucked up shit happening in third world countries, unless you plan to strap on a backpack and go help one or the other. It's all voyeurism and negativity. Mostly it's there to distract you and make you feel better about your own crap life. But most news is worthless except for the occasional, "The British Are Coming!" Of course, nine times out of ten it turns out to be an actual invasion, and not something really horrible like a pop band.

Brought a little tear to my eye. But, then again, I'm a big puss when it comes to this stuff.
