I finaly decided to bite the bullet and purchase the infamous Gingerdead Man starring Gary Busey. And to my surprise, i found out there's going to be a sequel. You can all thank me for bringing this to your attention now.

Just a thought, but you could just opt to not see it.

I think it's less about seeing it or not seeing it, and more about whether you really want to live in a world where Gingerdead Man 2 exists.

Oh yeah, just to be clear... i enjoy living in a world filled with crappy movies! As anyone who's actually seen my DVD collection can tell you. Hell, the other movie i was buying at the time or purchase was Transmorphers. So once again, you can all thank me for supporting the scene. Without people like me, movies like this may never get made! And what a horrible place that would be. <shudder>

Oh, that was for Tyrant.  The whole stabbing himself thing.  I have tons of bad movies with the sole intention of watching and riffing with my bro.  All too often I have said, "God this looks awful!  We gotta get this."  Too, too often.

Well, I said that because, against my better judgement, Pak and I included Gingerdead Man in with our bad movie marathon for Labor Day. A sequel inevitably means I'll end up seeing it at some point.

And even if I don't end up seeing it:

Gingerdead Man is something else... It's like they took a story from Nickelodeon's "Are You Afraid of the Dark" or the old Goosebumps series and bumped it to an R rating with some incidental swearing and light blood. I really can't figure out who that movie is targeting. :^)

It's targeting people who don't take their horror too seriously, is my guess.

Well, that's three of us then.

And no, I haven't watched it yet either, despite having owned it for several months.

Hey, did you steal that phone from work, or do you really have 30 other extensions in your house that you need a phone like that?   :D

I'm guessing that is his desk from work. But now you know where all those single copies of obscure DVDs that the store claims it has on hand are actually located... the employees' desks!

Haven't gotten Gingerdead Man in the mail yet. But i just watched Transmorphers. It really wasn't that bad... In fact, it was much better than i had expected. Kind of had that "Sci-Fi channel original movie" feel to it.

Unfortunately, i ended up with one of the original issue discs. The sound was horrible. The SFX were too loud, and the vocals were hardly there sometimes. Not to mention that after five minutes it started drifting horribly out of sync. Sometimes it was almost a full second off.

Stuff was missing too. Sound effects and special effects were left out sometimes. Which meant the actors would often be comedically shaking their guns around with no sounds or blasts at all. What a mess.

I've heard all this was corrected in a recent release, though. So i've written The Asylum and asked for a replacement disc. We'll see what they say... if they answer me at all. Hopefully they'll stand behind their product, because i wouldn't mind watching this movie again sometime.
