Sorry bout the weather.  I blame Gagne.

BBQ Platypus

Man, my team blows.  Lousy David Ortiz, stinking it up throughout the early months of the year.
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

I think I'm ranging somewhere between you & BBQ on the level of awfulness.

It's a bad sign when you're seriously thinking about picking up Ryan Dempster to improve your pitching.  (I think what he's done so far is a fluke, but it's still tempting.)

I'm shipping up to Boston!

The weekend was simply amazing!

Sights from the weekend (from the 102 shots I took)...

Brew-Crew Nation Has Arrived, bleacher-style:

The weather on Saturday afternoon/evening...perfection...

Getting ready for the 2nd game of the doubleheader, I was having pizza in preparation...

My seat for Saturday evening's game...

Token shot of Brauny on the scoreboard...

I really needed to make my train but couldn't leave...

My seat from Sunday...

Fielder signing autographs before Sunday's game...

I had to get a photo w/ Braun & the Green Monster...

Papelbon going in for the kill...

My franchise in one frame...

Uecker, Fenway, and the Crew...I love it!

Watching the Celtics/Cavs from Fenway on Friday...

And lastly, leaving Fenway on Sunday as one w/ Red Sox Nation...

Wow, what a weekend!

Sidenote: Dunkin' Donut tally from the 5 day stretch...

Chocolate Frosted: 11
Glazed: 2
Sprinkle: 1

Now THAT is how to spend a weekend.

The one time I went to Fenway, I sat down in my seat along the first base side, looked to home plate..... and WHAM, a giant steel support frame was blocking my view!

I can't imagine the letdown that had to have been. They're such a giant nuisance, and I'm thankful in my 5 trips there I haven't had to deal with an obstructed view.

Gagne's time in Boston was awesome?

The "We want Gagne" chants on Saturday night/Sunday afternoon were classic!

Fortunately my trip there was way back in the late 90s when Andre Dawson was on the team, it was a cold April day and Boston was not very good.    So I just got up, got some clam chowder and sat in an empty seat without the giant beem.

Good times.  I'll try to be sure and get pics of the seats I've got on Thursday.
Looks like you brought a bunch of Brew Crew fans with you.

This was an uber-huge weekend for us with it being our first trip out to Fenway in 10+ years, and we really came out en masse. I was told by several vendors/fans, aside from Yankee's fan, they had never seen a group travel as well as us. I was very proud of our showing this weekend. We even had a very spirited Let's go Brewers chant going in the 7th inning on Saturday night during our comeback. Another sentiment I was told over the weekend was that it wasn't easy cheering against us this weekend. You guys like us, I love it!

In all, Red Sox nation is awesome.

I'm so very happy for Lester last night, what a great story!

He did some positive damage for you this weekend, BBQ!  :(

I like my team a lot but am just waiting for them to wake up a bit. The season's only a little over a quarter in the book. It's all good.

...hahaha.

Did you end up picking him up? Along with Cliff Lee, I'm all but certain he doesn't have a soul any longer.

Nope didn't grab him yet.  He's come back to ruin my team several times over the past few years.

Forgot to mention, that's awesome that you got to watch the Celts game at Fenway.

Funny story I forgot to mention... when we went in for the Mothers Day Walk In The Park we didn't know which entrance to use, so we asked at one of the gates "Is this the entrance?"

He replied "For what?"

My brother in-law gives back without missing a beat  "For the hockey game."

Utter confusion resulted until we assured him we weren't actually there for a hockey game.

Nice story!

You know k1, I would've stayed for the entire Celts/Cavs game on Friday at Fenway if I could of. It was surreal sitting in Fenway, eating peanuts, and cheering on the Cavs.  :D

One last note from the weekend, Papelbon's entrance has to be the best in the game, hands down. It's too cool!

Here's the link to a bunch of pics from last nights game that we took.

Our seats were (if you look at the bottom left of the Uecker one you posted) in the front row right in front of the person in the pink shirt.

Videos are blocked here at work, so I can't see if the wife upped Papelbon's entrance or not on there.

Nice pics! You got to see a couple of grand slams and Dice-K go 8-0.

Do you know what this thread is missing? Carlos Zambrano...

Nothing sparks a rally quite like throwing yourself in front of a 95 mile-per-hour heater...

Fantastico!
