Ok. Nothing special on this one. It'll be good, but it's not a super riff-rich movie to begin with.

another stupid question, but why all the hate for the matrix sequels?

I'm quite fond of them as well.  But riff away!

The tedious lectures by the zion governor/oracle/architect leave more questions than answers. Questions such as "What the hell are they on?!?!"

But at least that fight with the Smith clones looked good, eh?

because they are not very good?   NEO's jesus christ pose in the third one was interminable.

I've never got around to seeing this one... looks like I'm gonna have to hit up best buy

Yeah after about half-way into the second movie I realized "just shut off your brain and enjoy the fight scenes" and you can enjoy yourself watching the sequels.  Can't say I'd watch them for their intellectual content, though it is occasionally fun to see how many pieces of religious symbolism they can cram into one shot.

Is there a picture of that anywhere?  I've never seen it.

The second one spends 90% of its running time explaining what's going on, and still makes no sense.  I can't speak for the third one, as I gave up on the series after the abominable second entry.
The third one went on to throw out the creative action choreography that made the first two okay to watch in exchange for telling us a "story" that was terrible in the first one and just got worse as time went by.  You could see a bit of that in the second with the really, really long exposition scenes that don't make even less sense than the first movie.

The fact that the dead martyr being carted away has such a "duh" expression really sold it for me.  I broke down laughing in the theater and I think everyone thought I was nuts.

I'm totally psyched!   I may be one of the morons that actually liked this movie, but I just can't wait to have it savaged mercillessly!
