"Allow me to break the ice..."

My name is Jesse Shade. I am a 17 year old die hard MST3K fan who's been basking in the glories of Rifftrax and Cinematic Titanic. My most recent purchase, as you can see from the quote, was "Batman and Robin". I try to buy RiffTrax whenever I can afford it, and I select them carefully. I'm glad to be a part of the Round Table, and am enthusiastic about sharing my love of movie riffing with you guys. Hope that we get along.

Wilkomen!   ;D

I can't stop staring at your avatar.  Is that Jim Varney?  I'm not going to lie and pretend that the Ernest movies weren't a pretty vital part of my upbringing.

Welcome, M/C.  I hope you enjoy your stay.  :)

Ditto. Varney rules! Now that you mention him, his tv show "Hey Verne, It's Ernest!" was an excellent show that broke lots of ground and was ahead of its time.

I saw every Ernest movie up until he joined the army and played Basketball, and loved them all dearly, each in their own way. :^)

Yes, that is indeed the underestimated comic genius of Jim Varney, in a animated .gif that I lifted from X-Entertainment's review of his 1996 DTV classic, Snowboard Academy. Who knew that he and Corey Haim would match wits in my lifetime?

Oh, and to see where my sensibilities of pop culture love come from, do enjoy my YouTube account...

Remember when he sang a sad song in Ernest Goes to Jail?  Broke my eleven-year old heart.

What was the Ernest movie that was all fake commercials?  That might have been my favorite,

Magneto/Cerebro

I believe that was one of his greatest hits compliations with all his local commercials that made him famous. I watched both of them on DVD recently. Pretty funny.

And yes, I do remember, "Gee, I Think It's Raining". Still sends shivers up my spine to this day.

I always liked Ernest Rides Again.

"Ernest... Are you dead?"
"I might be... If I wasn't just this close to being a cartoon character."

I'm so glad it's rainin'...

Definitely a sad song. Wanted to beat the crap out of those punks who gave Ernest a hard time.

Welcome aboard, Magneto!  I'm new here too (and, oddly enough, just posted the Elvis Costello albums you must own!).

And as far as Ernest, let's not forget Cooter on The Simpsons!  And the Troll 2 riff!
