They clarified something about that Slashdot interview with Joel

"Another boost came last Friday with Joel's answers to readers questions being posted at SlashDot.org.  We're glad to say our new server held up to the "SlashDot effect" traffic.

A note on the SlashDot interview:  It has come to our attention that a certain unanswered question (posted as unanswered by the editor) has caused rampant online speculation of a "Riff't" within the MST3k alumni community.  This is not the case.  In fact, I just saw Joel yesterday and the last thing he said was "Hey, if you see Rifftrax, say 'hi'".

To clear up any further questions about that or any other items of  interest , Joel is planning a Q and A with our fans in the next few weeks.  More details soon.  Get your questions ready.  "

I actually got this newsletter too!    I still cannot register on their forum as it refuses to send me the confirmation e-mail, but I guess this is progress.

Now if they can only increase the "release one new riff every two months" strategy.

Thanks, El Guapo.  I think this is probably the move Joel needs to make to clarify his position with Rifftrax.

I was really glad to see that as well!  And "RiffTrax" was even a link to the RiffTrax site.  I knew there wasn't anything going on between the two groups; I just knew it.  But it's nice to see it confirmed.  This was the right way to handle it all along, and I'm glad they're finally getting around to it.

I thought it was a good move.  Very cute on their parts, and very sporting of them to acknowledge the problem that the (lack of) answer had caused.  Well-played, Cinematic Titanic.

Yeah I do also....not sure what the deal is with that. I could read it but it was annoying.
