I think Bill WAS in the nude for one.  Didn't want to fail to get bacon grease on him.

There. I fixed it.
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere.
Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

Here's an unusual suggestion: How about Roger Ebert? Give him an opportunity to take off his "professional reviewer" hat (and all the restraint that comes therewith) and just really make fun of something - might be a good opportunity to do another 70s/80s cheesefest.

Nergol

P.S. Of course, my #1 suggestion for guest reviewer ever won't be happening until we all hit the next world, but I would have loved to have had Sam Kinison do a guest riff.

I guess you're not aware but Roger Ebert doesn't actually have the ability to speak at the moment due to complications from his battle with thyroid cancer, they tried to restore his speech in a surgery last month but there were further complications.

He says that's he's now cancer free & happy and would rather not have any more surgery at the moment...

Oh yeah? Then HOW did he say that?

During that Q&A on the Riffblog with Kevin, I asked him who he'd like to riff with if he were without the other two, and he said someone like Roger Ebert.

Darth Geek

I think someone like Leonard Maltin would be a lot more fun than Roger Ebert. He was actually on MST3K for the Gorgo episode.
Didn't Ebert give MST3K:TM thumbs down?

mrbasehart

On his website, he gives the movie 3 out of 4.

I like Ebert, and his DVD commentaries are pretty good too.

ShadowDog

Either Ebert (voice permitting) or Leonard would be awesome in my opinion.
"Did she just say Chipping?"

I remember Ebert giving MST3k a great review, mentioning how they cut the movie down to make the whole experience even more palatable. And he also said it was better than lasagna.

Blue Raja

In addition to many suggestions listed here (particularly David Spade and the 2 Joels [MST3K's and The Soup's]), I've always been kinda partial to Nick Bakay, myself.  His delivery of things has always struck me as amusing - sort of a pleasant sarcasm, almost.  Hard to describe, but still, yeah, him. ;D
Featuring the taxpayer-funded efforts of Blue Raja, Hellcat, and Skyroniter!
