you should offer a download of the timecodes srt too make sure that most of the scripts are all lined up correctly, which could give you more time to devote toward gleaming more of the better riffs.

Funny you should mention that. :D

I've developed an .srt generator to build a timecode subtitle based on the length of the movie. It's what Chris and I use for Riff Raff Theater to keep the writing and the performing in synch. My intention was to offer the .srt file for download for anyone who wants to reauthor themselves a DVD to do the writing (with VSO's Convert X to DVD program, you literally drag and drop the base video .vob from the DVD, drag and drop the .srt file, hit convert, then burn it).

What is it they say about great minds? ;)

And i agree, i'd rather hear silence than filler jokes.
Compared to, for the sake of argument, exactly which filler jokes that you've heard before that you thought sucked? I mean, you may call them filler jokes, but I don't consider most of mine to be beneath the other riffs I wrote. They're simply genuine reactions to the film that I thought was funny. I mean why assume just because there isn't a choice of five riffs, that the one that's there must suck? I don't think I've ever listened to a riff and thought, "Oh, that's a filler joke. Real joke. Filler joke. Filler joke. Real joke."

I had 2 lines out of the 16 I submitted make it in.

(When Bane was standing there flexing just after he joins Poison Ivy) - "Has he been standing there like that since two scenes ago?"

(When Freeze is put into Arkham the first time) - "Where do I poop?"

I really liked Mike's (I think it was Mike) reading of the Freeze line.  And I think you can here them laughing a little bit after it, which makes me all sorts of happy.

It wasn't Mike, he was just the one laughing.

Our sources tell us that MORE than one person in the office thought that was one of the funniest lines in the entire script. You can tell the guys enjoyed the subtle nuances of it, based on their genuine reaction. ;)

I hope you're proud of yourself... you're now famous for a poop joke. :D

I can't tell then, since they were doing the Arnold voice.  I guess it was either Kevin or Bill.

There are worse things to be famous for, I guess.   ;D

My line for that was, "Why did they put the TV on the ceiling?" No, it figures a poop joke would make them crack up. Poop guy.

Okay, who wrote... I think it was... "snow problem" *Mike hits Kevin's coconut head* That's the accomplishment of the entire Rifftrax.

According to my script assignment notes, it was Bill. It sounded like him in the Trax as well, but I can't be positive because sometimes Bill's Arnold and Kevin's Arnold sounded similar.

Incidentally, I'm ashamed to say, the gay jokes were the most duplicated lines of any in the script.
Actually I was going to reply, re: most duplicated line, most likely was "GAY!" Looks like I was right.

Adam Bush wrote that. I think he submitted 10 riffs and we used 6-7 of them... some ridiculous number or something like that.

A few sound like mine but are mash-ups or edits, the ones for sure are:

(Mr Freeze with goggles on) "Thomas Dolby"

Pamela: 'Personal note:' "Who am I recording this for?"

Ivy: "I'm poison." "Never trust a big butt and a smile, Bell Biv Devoe was right!"

(dance routine begins) "The Lion King, 2nd sold out week at the Gotham Opera house."

Ivy: "I've got some wild oats to sow."   "Warren Oates"

Ivy: "My garden needs tending."   "Do you know how to wax?"
(not sure if mine was edited or it's someone else's)

(Coolio appears) "Coolio, the man you get when Snoop Dogg turns you down."

Had my share of gay jokes too, but how could you not? This movie is (to quote Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett) "Gayer than a tree full of monkeys on nitrous oxide".

The beard-boy joke was ALMOST a gay joke, but way off the mark. His supermodel girlfriend was the beard. Threw me off because I thought it was a gay joke, but it turns out it was just weird.
