Speaking as someone who just got into mst3k recently, can someone xplain the relationships between the cast members to me? I take it that Mallon (He played doc forrestor, right?) has a gripe or something. I hate to hear that as they had such a good time on the show or looked like they did.

So, what's going on? Who hates who and why? Why couldn't they all stay friends?

No, Mallon was the producer(and voice of Gypsy). Forrester was played by Trace Beaulieu.

Mallon was nobody but a businessman, and all businessmen are evil. He also "played" Gypsy. Then he put on a ski mask in the middle of the night and stole the rights to the show. And he made Joel bald. And invented ringtones.

I like the show, I'm not fucking obsessed with it, and the fact they don't run it in syndication makes it hard to catch up with stuff I missed.

Regardless though, I would agree with the impostor that if you can't bring back MST3K like it was, don't do it at all.  On that note you never can bring it back the way it was.  I'd rather remember it like it was than be brought back as something bad.  Rifftrax and CT are both enjoyable alternatives to MST3K, both go about it in different ways than each other, and from what MST3K was.  And that's OK.
