General question:

The Mike-only version of "Plan 9 From Outer Space" is already available as an On-Demand DivX download.

Will the new "3 Riffer" edition of this film also one day be available as an On-Demand DivX download?

While I like RiffTrax, I have to admit that I prefer seeing something with the comedy track already overlaid.  Furthermore, I also love the idea of RiffTrax synching commentary to public domain films and releasing an all-in-one package--hearkens back to the days of that old project Mike and his friends used to be involved in.  What was that old thing called again?  The Film Crew?  Yeah, that's it!   Well, you know what I mean.  :)

Anyway, with that little Christmas short and "Rocket to the Moon" out there in On-Demand format, I'm seeing a trend I'd love to encourage.  Be great to have an enhanced "Plan 9" out there to continue the trend.

Yeah the video is in the hands of DivX, we just have to wait for them to encode it and get back to us before we can put it on the catalogue :) Should be up very soon, though.

Will both versions be available on DIVX?

Well the old one is already there. The new one is what is being processed by DIVX currently.

Thanks man!  Will there be a sale if you buy both?

BTW - I know what the website says, but are the Legend versions of Plan 9  still autographed?  are any of the other titles still available signed?

Boy, I hope DIVX finishes soon. Makes me wonder if Rifftrax will continue redoing previous Legend Film releases?

Well, I think the reason they reused so many jokes from the original Plan 9 commentary is because the first commentary was already very funny to begin with. So, if they were to remake another commentary, they'd have to remake one that wasn't very good. I vote for Carnival of Souls. 8)
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!

Why doesn't Rifftrax release in XViD format instead ? I hear it's better quality for the same bitrate. Of course, I'm an idiot who's never tried to really compare so, just throwing it out there.
