"Say hello to my little friend" has probably been a joke in more things than anyone will ever see. It's not that funny to begin with, but to have RAMBO say it doesn't even make SENSE. And yes, I'm SORRY, jokes have to make sense. Which is why this and Epic Movie are TERRIBLE. You can't just go all fantasy land and have all these different universes in one movie and try to make it logical. Why is Britney in Sparta? If you can't answer that sensibly, you can't have a movie.
I don't know. There's something to be said for jokes not making a lot of sense in reality. The Naked Gun doesn't make much sense at all if you look at it realistically, but it is a hilarious movie.

[YouTube video featuring fake interview.]

Did anyone see the comments section of that video? There are morons posting antisemitic comments, and actually getting THUMBS UP for saying "fuck these kikes" or whatever (never mind the fact that being Jewish has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not you're funny. Let us not forget Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner, among others)....one of these dickheads actually posted a swastika and got a thumbs up vote. What kind of bullshit is that? >:(

There was another post that pissed me off, that suggested that Yoko Ono is somehow worthy of the same amount of hate as Friedberg/Seltzer and Uwe Boll (why, I don't know), and that all of them should be killed. (The fact is, none of these people should be killed, no matter what you think of any of them.) Though, while that comment did bother me, at least it didn't contain any bigotry. At least there's something to be thankful for, simple idiocy in favor of straight up evil.
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!

it's shameful, but you can't stop people's freedom of speech, no matter how hard you want to. I just thought the fake interview was funny, I never read the comments.

Tripe

I wouldn't worry too much about comments; there will always be arsehole comments, it's a feature of the web.

People came to see Deep Throat, too. And after seeing it as well. ;D

Are you implying that there's something wrong with Deep Throat?  It's certainly less offensive than Epic Movie...

I dunno...Deep Throat left me with a bad taste in my mouth.   :rimshot:

Yeah, that basically sums up every YouTube comment. If you actually let it bother you then their trolling was successful.

The trolling bothers me much less than the fact that those comments were given thumbs-up votes. Seriously? There's someone out there who would look at that shit, say "yeah, I hate the Jews, too", and tag it as a good comment? What the fuck?

Tripe

Or they got their friends to do it for them.

Hmm I wonder if I can click on my own comments on Youtube, I have precious few of them but I'll maybe comment on something and try it out.

A pathetic attempt at synergy:

The marketing geniuses at Fox run that damn ad for Meet the Spartans during every episode of The Sarah Connor Chronicles, at least 3 times   :grr:. Why you ask? Because Leana Headey played Queen Gorgo in 300. Anyone who enjoyed 300 and Sarah Connor will NOT go see Meet the Spartans, I can't fathom why they thought this was a good idea. Every time the ad comes on I growl in frustration, hit the Mute button, and go get another beer.

Hmm, I wonder if its a conspiracy with the breweries to make me drink more beer...
In theory, practice and theory are the same. In practice, they aren't.

Always remember... where ever you go, there you are.

Meet the Spartans does not mean the end of life on earth, THIS does.
QuoteThe spoof comedy "Meet the Spartans" took in around $19 million and the first place this weekend, having a virtually identical opening weekend with last year's spoof "Epic Movie."

Sylvester Stallone drew a mix of older and younger fans to the return of his '80s action hero, "Rambo." The film took $18.2 million from 2,751 locations, taking second place and outperforming Stallone's "Rocky Balboa," which grossed $12.2 million during its first weekend.

Other openers were "Untraceable," which grossed $11 million at 2,368 locations, and the dancing drama "How She Move," which managed only $4.2 million at 1,531 theaters.

Last weekend's top opener "Cloverfield," tumbled 68% in its second week, grossing $12.7 million and landing at number four. The film has now earned a total of $64.3 million on a $25 million budget.

Several Oscar favorites got a big bounce the weekend after nominations were announced. "Juno" lost 108 screens but went up 3% at the box office, grossing $10.3 million and inching its way over the $100 million mark. Quirky comedy was number six for the weekend.

Other best picture nominee to break the top 10 was "There Will Be Blood," which more than doubled its release to 885 theaters and grossed $4.9 million, landing it at number 8 for the weekend. The film's total is now $14.8 million.

Hey guys.. Being one of the creators of that video, I just wanted to point out that we have ABSOLUTELY NO AFFILIATION with anyone leaving anti-semitic comments or posts!  We had nothing to do with the positive repping of those posts (not to mention that the swastika symbol doesn't even show up on our computers, it just displays a small box so we didn't even know it was there)

I apologize if anyone was offended.. The reason we made the interview was to simply mock the directors/ producer of the movies because we despise what their films do to the movie industry.. We intentionally avoided any jokes that could've been too severe or offensive, so don't blame us for the comments that others leave because that's not what we intended for

jacobtaylor: I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for posting it, haha  :)

Petey Wheatstraw

I understand that its creators had nothing to do with any bigots that watched it and commented on it, and I never stated that I hold the creators of the video responsible for the trash in the comments section. I have absolutely no qualms about the video itself, as I had never intended to watch it.

I really don't care for most of the stuff on YouTube that was actually created for the people that watch it, and I rarely watch any of it. This isn't personal, and it has nothing to do with anyone specific, I just have other things that I would rather do.
