Nothing better to kill the possibility of humor, but I'll explain my initial intent for the comment:
[Prior to that explanation, "pi²" is apparently used in computations of gravity among other things, so the number is 'legit' as is, without a radius being involved... though your inclusion of it made another opportunity to potentially be amusing.]
1. Since the original is 'Life of Pi', and the original picture is there, then multiplying the original by another of itself would be Pi squared.
2. The two tall rectangular pictures, together, form a square (hence another: "Pi 'squared'")
3. The person in the second picture, posing in towels and with a cat instead of tiger is most definitely NOT "cool"... hence, he is Pi 'squared' (or 'as a square').

Clearly my thinking was too obtuse to be noticed by anyone (or, more likely, it was noticed and understood and people resoundingly said it wasn't amusing ).  Oh, well....

well, various powers of pi show up all over the place. there's nothing particularly special about squaring it. also, i was just building on the joke. nothing more, nothing less.

Yeah I've played against him in games of Civilization. I don't disagree on any particular point, there. :^)

I heard Gandhi was a racist.
