You can read my post about the current MST3k Situation along with my support for Rifftrax here

Basically I think that Rifftrax has a distinct advantage. I am curious to see what Cinematic titanic is going to do and I have my copy on order, but I have a soft spot for the Riffclowns here at Rifftrax.

Why is there a vs at all?

I don't just watch one studio's movies, or eat one fast food place's crappy food.

Writers sometimes use the word "versus" to mean "compare" or "contrast." It can be confusing, i know...

I love Rifftrax and I love the guys behind CT. If you read my article, it is more of a comparison of the projects than anything else. I hope that both succeed.

I think you summed up some very good points very well.  I'm with you that I hope both RT and CT have success...I could really care less about the bots cartoon though.

Speaking of the bots cartoon........... no new cartoons since Thanksgiving.   Did they just give up?

That long?  I haven't bothered to go to that site at all except when someone mentioned the evil Mike skit was up.  Maybe they scrapped the cartoon, but it seems more likely they're just going to take their sweet time with the next one.  Maybe they'll actually get some other input on just what the hell to do to make them funny (I can hope at least)

Yeah, the MST3K.com guys seem to have abandoned the project. They apologized for the poor quality of the first flash cartoons and promised that they were going to get better, then they stopped doing any.

It is still possible that they are working on things trying to make it better before releasing anything new, but who knows.

BTW I have updated the article with new links and pictures. I also have some superhero movie reviews along with Rifftraxed video in the site now. Thanks

My personal preference is RT after viewing CT.  The riffs on CT were standard Joel - good - clever - awesome references to pop culture, but Mike and the gang just make me laugh more because they're meaner.  But I really like both, so I am supporting both all the way!

I'm excited!
I love both flavors - Joel (goofy, and trippy)  & Mike (Snarky, Sarcastic) and have missed TV's Frank for long time.

Seems like a natural division, CT doing the absurd, campy technicolor B movies,  RT puncturing the self-important recent big budget ones.

I'm glad both vibes are back.

I'd like to see a Riffrrack'd version of the Cinematic Titanic version of the MST3K Movie.  My head would a splode with awesome confusion.
